Idris Elba rumored to be next Bond

Lol you think the Bond movies aren't produced by Hollywood? Yeah you don't know what you're talking about. Shocking.

Eon Productions (an abbreviation of "Everything or Nothing") is a British film production company that produces the James Bond film series. The company is based in London's Piccadilly and also operates from Pinewood Studios in the United Kingdom.

Ha. Shocking.

he's too old and too "big". If you're gonna do a black reboot I say go for Lakeith Stanfield.

better actor, more charismatic, and has the right physical dimensions.

Nothing screams charismatic like grindjng your shoes all over somebody else furniture, while sitting on it incorrectly

This worked out great for the Dark Tower movie.

Next time don't be so lazy and read more than the first two sentences of the wiki entry. Co owned with united artists, an American production company. If you're going to be so rude and dismissive right out of the gate, have some idea what you're talking about

The movies are also distrIbuted through American companies. So to say they have no Hollywood involvement is objectively wrong.

meh, why not give it a try for a movie or 2 or 3

im afraid the world isn't ready for a black james bond unfortunately, but who knows?

as long as hes british, who really cares

Completely wrong. British filmmakers Broccoli (lol) and Saltzman created Eon productions and Danjaq, Eon's holding company. In the 70s, United Artists bought 50% stake in Danjaq from Saltzman, who was having financial issues. United Artists sold back their shares to the Broccoli family in the 80s. However in the meantime United Artists had been bought out by MGM, only existing in name as a subsidiary. In exchange for selling back the shares, MGM got a distribution deal.

That's the story. It's owned and fully controlled by the descendants of the Broccolis, who are the producers of all the movies. British family company, with offices in the UK, making movies about an English spy, based on the character of English author Ian Fleming. Don't even try to claim this shit is American, it's not.

Can't believe you guys are still going on this shit

You guys must live a miserable life

I hope it happens. The triggering would be epic.

It's marketed by an American company largely towards an American audience, video distribution rights are through an american company, but the American film industry has no influence on the film's at all? Ok.

Bahaha, white people everywhere are rejoicing.

I was talking about the people complaining about Bond's race

We are on 14 pages now. Maybe more if you haven't changed your sherdog settings

You know that I hate SJW bullshit but I am 100% fine with Idris as Bond.

Its not pandering bullshit like Star Wars or Ghostbusters

Never been impressed with his acting. The Dark Tower was one of the worst fucking movies I've ever seen. He already ruined one roll that was supposed to be acted by a white guy.

There is no way he read a single book of Stephen King's before taking that movie.

Fuck him.

Didn't seem like anyone involved with that movie gave a shit about the source material. I don't see how you can lay all the blame on Elba when the screenplay and directing was bad. He was miscast in the role though. Unlike Bond, Rolands ethnicity has relevance in the plot.
