Social ICE/deportation protests and riots megathread

Because the Trump administration is so fucking trustworthy. When will you fools learn? The Dodgers org wouldn't just make this up out of whole cloth. Why would they? That makes 0 sense.
I wonder then who the heck are these guys? I cannot tell who this Gestapo wearing masks.

This violence is WAY too little and too late. You stupid yanks should be beheading billionaires by now. Instead you shit your pants for a couple of cars on fire. Bunch of soft pussies.

They have pacified us with smartphones and cheap flat-screens. It took us awhile to get to this point, and it will take us while to come back....if we ever do.

They were birder patrol cars but they weren’t conducting business in the stadium or trying to. They probably said that to relax the fans I guess .
Or taking a break.

All the headlines I saw quoted park employees as "denying ICE entry" like defending a castle or something, but if that were true there'd surely be video.

WTF are you talking about? They are standing there mean-mugging right outside of the parking lot. What about this makes it look like the Dodgers are lying? What were they doing there? It's almost as if you guys like being lied to.

You link said "scores" of illegals without a criminal record have been deported. That would be along with the overwhelming number of criminal being deported.

So what they are here ileagly. How many have been deported before which make them felons. Even if not they are still here ileagly and if they get caught up in the sweep so be it.

Once most of the major criminals are deported they can concentrate on the illegals that are here ileagly.
These people you call felons aren’t being charged with that though. The bottom line is this:
  1. If we wish to pursue criminal charges, then the immigrant in question should be charged here, tried in US courts, and any jail/prison sentence would be served in US jails and prisons.
  2. If we decide to go the civil route and just deport them, then the immigrant should be free to go in whatever country we deport them to.
These people have not been charged or convicted of crimes in either the US or El Salvador—for what reason are they in prison? By what mechanism do we have the right to have them imprisoned in some foreign gulag? It’s not like we’re extraditing them to face specific charges. Our government is disappearing people off the street and throwing them into prisons from which there seems to be no way out. That’s some monstrous shit to support.

Because you bitch about liberals daily as if your life isn't comfortable because of liberals and liberal policies.

If Republicans had their way with everything, which you fight for on the daily, your life would be absolute shit and you and your children would be working for 5 cents a day, living in a company town, eating bread with sawdust in it, having heart surgery performed by unlicensed doctors, breathing dirty air, I mean I could go on and on and on.

The point being, regulation bad, right? Corporate oversight, consumer protections, due process, worker safety and labor laws, that's all just filthy liberal bias, right?

So by all means, convince me why Republicans and their singular policy of trickle down economics over the last 50 years is what I should be voting for. Clearly it's not for the 2ndA, because protests are bad, right?
You are way off base. I don't bitch about liberals or liberal policies daily. It's quite the opposite. If Republicans had their way, my life would be completely different but probably not in ways you're thinking of. At one point in time, I thought I might actually have to move to Europe or Asia to continue my financial pursuits and that still might happen eventually, though it's looking extremely unlikely at this point.

I'm actually kind of confused where you just pulled all of this from and what decided you to start ranting.

<36>

My major issue with Democrats currently is they've GOT AWAY from liberal policies and it seems unimportant or not a focus.

To add on, I don't expect anything productive from Republicans. But I do Democrats, which as Imamate pointed out to me, I'm applying different standards for each party which perhaps isn't fair. So my ire towards Democrats might actually be biased in a way.

If they are criminals in the country they are from and being deported back to that country then that country does what it sees fit to do with them. If they have criminal records and are part of criminal gangs and here ileagly then I don't care what their home country does with them.

We’re right back to the first point, that many if not most of these people do not have criminal records, either here or abroad.

And they often aren’t going to their home country. I posted a link about 238 Venezuelans—those would people from Venezuela—being sent to El Salvador. That’s not their home country.

Point #3, I think everyone should care if the people we’re deporting are being imprisoned without charges with no way out.
The fact that members of the Trump administration sat around trying to figure out how to accomplish such a thing is horrific.

This is exactly how atrocities and crimes against humanity occur. People willing to turn a blind eye to brutality because it’s only happening to the “undesirables.”

The cure for all of that is first don't come here or stay here ileagly.

Next if they are gang members or hard core criminals and illegals I don't care where they go.

If they are here ileagly then they should go back to their home country.

If they have destroyed their paper work and refuse to say where they are from then send them anywhere that will take them.

It’s not ok to throw people in prison without charges. Period. Especially a prison they have no reasonable way to leave eventually.

But again, there are people imprisoned who didn’t come here or stay here illegally.

Leonel Eschavez didn’t come here or stay here illegally. He used the CBPOne app, made an appoint ment at a port of entry, was processed in by our government, filled out the proper paperwork to seek asylum, got a legal work permit and was gainfully employed, and he was showing up for his court dates for his asylum claim. He didn’t do anything illegal.

Where is he now?

In prison in El Salvador without ever being charged with a crime by either our government or theirs, along with all of these other people who have committed no crime.
