Social ICE/deportation protests and riots megathread

Local officials have de-escelated, and the riots are basically non-existent at this point, with the NG and Marines having done nothing to de-escelate the situation. It would have happened sooner if Trump hadn't of spouted his nasty rhetoric on social media.

There's nobody to blame except the rioters who got together and violently resisted law enforcement agencies doing their job removing illegal aliens. ICE will continue to do their job so these violent riots could pop off again at any moment. There's been a lot of damage done over the last few days and there needs to be investigations opened to help find and prosecute anybody who looted stores, blocked streets, and tried to murder law enforcement agencies. There's a whole lot of people that deserve to be behind bars facing lengthy sentences right now for trying to violently subvert the will of the people.

First, I hate trump and he disgusts me, but how in the hell would national guard have been able to be mobilized to do anything on j6? These things take time. Maybe he should have had them in place beforehand but there’s no way once the riot started that any guardsmen could have been ready to do anything.

How are they disobeying federal law? Just because they're not required to enforce it doesn't mean they're disobeying it.

I would agree with that. I think he failed to act on purpose. His inaction led to police being injured and a dark stain on the US

A sanctuary city just means local law enforcement isn't cooperating with immigration authorities and won't ask you your immigration status, you think that's ground to deploy the National Guard?

My fears are that this is some sort of tipping point where we lose control of major cities. There were approximately ten thousand people out the other day. No way to stop that.
