Social ICE/deportation protests and riots megathread

Flags for the president. Not the country, but an individual. Feels problematic. So does carrying the flag of an enemy country responsible for the death of hundreds of thousands of Americans

But 1 rebel flag for every few thousand US flags shouldn’t turn everybody into a confederate.

Mexico killed many Americans in the Mexican-American war as well. Putos

Everyone knows that Trump has purposely instigated tension by ordering “3000 arrest per day”without warrants, then sending in the national guard. Most of these people are US citizens most of the protesters were peaceful. Got teargassed and rubber bullets anyway.

He is literally just trying to get his deportation numbers close to Obama’s, so people can’t say Obama out beat him, deportation wise

Shoot, good call. The jury couldn’t prove it was his dick he forcibly jammed inside of her against her will so he was convicted of sexual assault. Much better

BS. This was a civil case and a politically motivated one at that. In fact, ABC had to pay out millions to Trump because they falsely called him a rapist.

It’s wild. It’s such an echo chamber.

There's a much more balanced and objective place to post called Blue Sky. You should check it out.

Citizens(democrats) waving a foreign flag while causing destruction in the US and attacking officials and obstructing a lawful mandate to protect illegal foreigners is even worse optics I’m afraid. They got a word for that.

Non-MS Media for a new scene, Sorry, can't translate.

I mentioned the rebel flag right there but it’s mostly a sea of Stars and Stripes.

I have little regard for the confederate flag and question the motivations of people who wave it instead of the Stars and Stripes when they claim to be acting on behalf of America.

But I also recognize that it had been repurposed for decades and decades with little to no controversy as a general Southerner flag and not a rebel flag. As nobody complained when Skynyrd, Pantera, and mainstream not racist TV shows used it in their imagery and not to put themselves in a pro secession or slavery debate.

So many people who fly it now and view it as just as American as the stars/stripes or the Gadsden flag grew up in that time. The confederate flag was largely uncontroversial in modern times until Dylan Roof wore it in his attack on the church. Then the narrative around it turned back 100 years.

So overall, I don’t have any interest in the flag myself as it was never really an issue where I’m from but I also don’t assume anybody who has one or displays it wants the south to secede, to restore slavery or otherwise overthrow the union considering the attitude towards the flag for much of the 20th and 21st century
How about it being flown in NorCal amongst MAGA flags and hats? Like people wearing confederate flag caps and car stickers? Considering California wasn't in that war?

Waymo didn't do nuffin, bastards!

One of them could have been my son, *le sigh*

But to be honest, acts like that show the overlap between radical Muslim jihadists and and the far left radicals, both calling for the global transtifada.

When radical Islamist groups take over an area, they destroy everything related to civil society, history, etc, thinking they will rebuild in their own vision of Allah.

Marxist transtifa rioters are no different. They hate the west, western culture, history in general.

I’ve never seen them waved in that context around here. I go to a lot of the rural red areas too for work where they have actual legit Trump shops on the side of the road and I’ve also seen MAGA take over the river in downtown Sac where they have Trump flags, Gadsden flags, Thin blue line, Betsy Ross galore and I’ve never seen any confederate flags.

I don’t attend political gatherings to vouch for every flag but in my passerby and online observer capacity I’ve just never seen it in that context in Northern California. I’d imagine it would be even less likely in the Bay Area then here where Trump country is 10 miles away in every direction

When I was in high school there would be the odd hick with the confederate belt buckle but nobody cared, because some kid in the Nortern California boondocks isn’t some confederate. Just it was part of pop culture for a long while in a completely different context

Lol. I can see you've had a productive weekend here on the board.

How come we only seem to have riots when your boy is in office? Do you think it's because y'all are toxic AF?
Toddlers will have temper tantrums.

It was Redding I saw the most of it in Norcal. Which Shasta County had its own far right wing militia so no wonder. The rest was in Virginia. Not so much when I lived in Norfolk, but used to drive past a gigantic one on a freeway all the time. I understand it in the south moreso than NorCal. When you drive farther north into Shenandoah though it's rife with Confederate flags.

Is that really the best you got? Why do we seem to have riots when Trump is in charge?
I guess you have already forgotten about the Pali "protests", eh?

Such a child. Memory of two minutes ago.
