Cardio

Ran to cross roads-.8 mile by the time I walked until the runner picked up a functiona; signal.
Jogged to hill, walked up, changed into studded running shoes.
Jogged down, ran/sprinted up, jogged down. Did 7 with a walk down up down up as cool off. Changed back and jogged the mile and a bit back to office/barn.

Even walking those last 2 hurt like a SOB. all 7 were 13 min 53. First lap was 43s, 7 min 38 per mile pace. Last one was 1 min 4 at 12 min 10 pace. Distance per hill sprint was around 470-500ft. The jog back down was about 20s slower for the first 2 or 3, but then it got to a good 2 minutes by the end between sprints.

Hey man, you see this thread yet?

Interesting stuff about Jesse and Mike Miles in there.

No I haven't seen this before.

To be honest, while they were ok hosts when I fought jesse (I saw ok because I got there 36 hours before I fought and the time difference is like 8 hours, I should have been allowed longer and there was some dodgy aftercare, kinda like 'well thanks, now fuck off'), I think there was a lot of dodgy stuff going on when i fought him. For example, it's been 2 years and I still haven't had a dvd copy of the fight even though numerous times it's been 'sent in the mail'.

It's all bullshit when you fight someone on their home territory and they have their own refs and judges there.

Gym work
3 sets of 7 weighted dips @ 20kg

Pull ups- +10kg, 3 sets of 5

Spin bike- just 15 minute of high resistance.

Light session because I spent the week before off training due to being ill so easing back into it. Still have a bad cough, but not when training which is odd

Cardio

4,5 mile run. Not sure how long it was, I think around 30 minutes, maybe 32 or so. Nothing major. I was feeling wasted but thought I need to get a run in. Felt quite good afterwards (such is the way).

HIIT work in the morning.

Jogged to car park
9 150m (well, the forerunner says its around 475ft) intervals, sprint one, jog one (so 18 laps). All but 2 of the times were 26s, one was 27 and another was 29. The last one was 26s. Did them all in about 13 minutes, which is a 8 min 30s mile average ish for the whole thing, considering the rest intervals were like 1 min 10 towards the end, thats not too bad.

Best speed was 3 min 45 pace but that was a peak I would think.

I'm sure I used to do them in around 17-19s, sub 20s for sure.
Maybe I was going slow or mistimed them last time (which was to be fair on my mp3 player via the sound track and back in jan, so not that accurate.

I was going to do only 5, but got to 4 and decided I wanted 6, got to 5 and thought 8 and finally got to 7 and thought I'd do 9.

They felt fine, i think the only reason I stopped was because all I had was some whey and 1/4 tsp of caffeine.
On a side note- while caffeine is good for waking you up in the morning and getting you through am training, it does after about 30 minutes make you want to shit your guts out which toward the end of the run is quite annoying and cuts some sessions short.

I now need to go crap again for the 2nd time in 3 hours.

Horrendous, cramping diarhorrea halfway through a 3 nile run is not fun. Barely made it home without crapping myself. Now I know to limit caffeine prior to runs (no pun intended).

Agreed

The biggest mistake I ever made was 1g of yohimbe (I think it was 2.5% standardised), some ephedrine and about 500g of caffeine before a 3 miler. I was tired after work and thought I wanted a pb and felt rough so some stims might bw a good idea.

5 minutes into the run everything hit me. I got dizzy, my stomach started to give me serious warning signs and I thought I was going to be violently ill.
I proceeded to soldier on and part walk, part jog the remaining 2 1/2 miles.

I got in, blocked the toilet and then laid down while the room spun.

Worst experience ever

On a side note, we had tacos after my late run on saturday. I then had a crap in the gf's toilet and broke it (I used a toilet brush because of lack of plunger and made it worse).
It had to stay there until I could get a plunger and caustic soda to clear it.

I was prude and disgusted at the same time

these stories are making me not want to cycle onto some caffiene in the morning pre-workout. XD

It's not that bad, just be prepared to set pbs because you're running to get back before you have crap running down your leg.

I almost broke my toilet at home after the training this morning. I flushed like 7 times. I went to get my water bottle from my car because I've found using a compressed jet of water can help break it up.

Too much info, maybe.

Ya, I remember your story, I had similar dealings with them when I fought there. That's why I send you the link.

What do you think of that though? He's going to get to go to Malaysia to be on the Contender, if though he was KTFO'd.

I think it's a fucking stupid idea and his opponents camp should argue until they are blue in the face. If you got KO'd you lost, no matter what the proceeding fight was like.

It's been 2 years since I fought him so I can't comment on his current proficiency, so it could have been a lucky shot on his opponents side. Without footage I can't really say one way or the other (much the pitty).

14/10/2008

Getting back into the early morning waking up again it seems.

Just did 55 burpees without a jump but with press ups.
Got to 20 without stopping, then did 15, then 5, then 15

Once I get to say 80 I'll start doing them with tuck jumps, depending on my ceilings height

5 miler, time average was 7 min 58 per mile. The first 3 miles were faster, but I was starting to feel fatiqued (the first 2 miles were sub 7 min mile

edit- did 60 press ups and 80 sit ups when i got back after some calf raises.

Went out to dinne and had 2 stellas before anyone else turned up (10 min)

20/10/2008

Felt like crap friday through the weekend so ended up being lazy. Lack of time as well but it was probably best I rested.

am run after caffeine and bcaa

11 HIIT runs.

1.97 miles, can't remember the average speed. All the runs were in the 26s-28s range but the rest ended up around 1 min 32 by the final lap. Most of the others were around 1 min 15, so that on average 2.5:1 rest:work.
