My squats pretty shit. Bit of time and it'll be back to semi shit levels again. Fitness is the key these days so we'll see what happens

Had tuesday and wednesday off work because of illness, but went training wednesday night.

2 hour thai session, 4 rounds shadow boxing, 2 rounds back to back, 1, 2, 3 kicks for 3 sides then grab knees. Break was 1 min teeps then into workhorse round with power shots. At the end 10, 7, 5, 3, 2, 1 kicks.

Did 1 round of boxing at some point because I was fucked but thought I need to do more work.

Held a lot and then held for 5 rounds for dan.

Last bit was 5 rounds, 1st was boxing and elbows, next was adding in the knees, next was lung buster, then full technique with blocks in there as well because I'm a bastard and did the same to dan, last was power shots.

At the end was 10 kicks each side, except for the 1st which was 50 straight punches

I finished it all, but god lord I felt fucked and my volume was pants.

Used to breeze it. I remember when I was your age and at uni I was doing 2-3 of those fucking rounds back to back without a real fuss. Fucking desk job and fucking.....ahhhhhahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahah

I didn't feel nausous at all to be honest, it was just drain in the legs.

-15 min light warm up, 1.53miles. HR average, 139
-Warming up into it more, 10 min, 1.20 miles, HR average 157
-Work, 20 min, 2.57 miles, HR average 170

Jog home, 12.41, 1.52 miles


I did it to try and find my lactate threshold, hence the slow speed and long duration. I would say my lactate threshold is 170bpm, so what I'll do, besides trying to get my running speed over 3-5 miles down, is work close to this level and see what improvement occurs over the next 6 weeks or so.
My HR went down to sub 100 within 5 min, although I was stretching out over this 5 min span.

I'll integrate one session a week of 400's from monday maybe

Off I go, flapjacks in the oven need checking (homemade protein flapjacks FTW).
 
I just realised, I need to pull sub 7 min miles for 8 miles for what I want, by february

Horrendously hung over, but made some time to do 35 minutes on the bike, 15 min on the rower. Kept HR over 150, towards the end of the cycle it was over 160 and towards the end of the row it was near 175 (174 infact for a minute or two).
 
For 8 straight miles? Fook.

I've pulled out the calaculator and I actually need to pull between 6 min 20 and 6 min 45 per mile for 8 miles.

So....yeah


I've done 5 min 52 per mile for 1.5....but, not really that far

Hence I'm tryng to lose some weight

'Cardio'

Walked to gym, sat my arse on a bike for 25 min

Walked back

I have, from my lactate threshold test on friday, hurt my left foot so I seem to hobble when I walk at the moment, so shit cardio work and skipped squatting on sunday.

We'll see how it is for tomorrows thai boxing
