Ians MT and PL log-2

I was about to go mental because this page isn't on page one and thought it hadn't saved the information.

Ox- not really. There's talk of me entering a tourney in dover on may 9th. I'm not really fussed. I just want my fitness up to previous superhuman levels...and then maintain it for a few years.

edit- that said, I want to do that run in siglo up and down the mountain and don't want to be the last fucker to finish it.

Aye, sorry - I was meaning fighting wise. I remember the Sligo thing. Have you spent much time over here? The west coast is pretty cool to look at, but it's cold because it's Atlantic water with couple of thousand miles for the wind to build up over.

Nope, never been to ireland :icon_chee

Why aren't these new posts showing up. Date wise, my log is still showing on page 4, last dated the 23rd.

edit- honestly I'm not bothered. I may get the itch soon though if I continue to train consistantly.

If you do come over will it just be for the competition? Or will you stay for a few days?

^^^

A fan huh. Didn't think I had any.
God knows this log is a shadow of its former self and a street urchin compared to my first one that got deleted (I'm still bitter about that and I have no way of downloading this log).

My pro record is...well....I'm not going to write that incase I need to get into a certain fight.
It's more then 5, less then 30 :icon_chee

Ox- I'll probably come over on the friday, run saturday, get heavily smashed, rest sunday, do some sight seeing, come home monday (bank holiday).

What did you compete in? MT? MMA?

Muay thai.

I tried doing both for a while (well, judo on top), but I started getting serious at the thai and it became one or the other.

I just saw some tags at the end of my log.

Barstards!

Ok cool. We've a few mma'ers at bjj and there are plenty of MT clubs around... there are lots of divisions of mma that I could try, but I'm not sure if I'll ever do it.

Cardio

In a rush, so did 25 minutes on the spin bike.
4 minutes warm up, a few rounds (3-3.5 minutes) of standing cycling, racking up the intensity until my HR reached low 160's, 4 minutes warm up. During the 1 minute active rests, the HR didn't drop below 140. I'll have a look to see what the overall average was when I get home.

After the 2 minutes active rest to cool off, the HR was 130 and after 4 it was about 115.

Was going to go thai on the 26th, but after this morning me and the gf are going to sit down and have a chat that I foresee ending in tears (hers, not mine).

you ever try barbell complex? look up latest entries of my log Ive been trying them out for my anaerobic work and theyre pretty challenging

Yeah I've done them before, 5-6 3 minute rounds.

Yesterday was supposed to be an easy 45 minute - 1 hour session, but didn't have enough time.

Did a negative from 77.5

Conditioning
5 rounds with minimal rest of
100 sprint rope turns
5 cleans per hand
5 swings per hand
10 full burpees

Weight involved, 20kg DB, burpees all with press up and jump.

Felt quite fatiqued after this. I had to make it a shortish session because I had to drive from hatfield to sisters place friday night (3 hour drive, left at 11.30pm). Moved stuff saturday and then drove back again and went out drinking with lads until the new time of 4 am (bloody clocks went forward).

About 1pm
Got up and did 90 minutes on the spin with a HR averaging 120-130 bpm

Went walking for a few hours with sicky gf

8pm
5 miler around the backroads. A few bits of hill running and what not on the route.
Time was 37 min 20 s I think. Which while not as good as last week, last week was pretty much flat the whole time, on pavements and as I mentioned my total time was slightly above my run time (by about 2 minutes) because of crossing roads (well, waiting to cross) and because of the mental aspect.
Also, from the saturday I had eaten just some chicken pie and soup. Sunday morning before the cycle I had some chocolate milk and half a cup of soup and nothing until after my run, so I was pretty much drained calories.

All in all, I was quite surprised by the run time. My WC must be up to be able to keep that lot up.

*eats vit c tablets*

Also, does anyone who looks at this log know why my being logged into sherdog keeps making all the pages constantly refresh with 'updating DST something or other'. The only was I could reply to this log (or indeed others) is to hit stop before it refreshes.

I squat more than Ian, yay.

But you press more than me

and are a skinny f__k again.

how come we never talk anymore Ian

huh

huh

you cheating on me with that woman of yours?

HUH?!?!?

WHAT

what is going on.

yeah I know. wtf foz. I'm bored.

~Foz

Indeed you are foz.

I'm not skinny btw- I'm about 86, but I looked more 'solid' apparently.

Regarding squatting, I did 5 @ 117.5 the week before last. But at the moment, lifting on the whole is to prevent injury. I have other fitness based goals in the mean time.

Oh yeah, got a 15% pay raise last friday (getting paid on the wednesday means I have to wait a month to see it).

edit- I saw that, considering I haven't had a pay rise since starting, it only equals out to 7.5% per year, which isn't that good at the end of the day.

7.5% a year is pretty solid, i'm up about 7% over 2 years and Fatty just took a cut of 10% last week.
