Conditioning
Ran to gym
5 min cycle

WC101.
Did 8 burpees (until last minute when I did full) per set instead of 15. Used a 5kg medicine ball, however couldn't slam it, so ended up doing the 10 ball slams as throwing the ball through my legs but not letting go.

50 sit ups.
50 leg raises off a bench.

5 minute cycle to ease off

Had a massive breakfast. 4 scrambled eggs, 2 pitta, 2 bacon, 1/4 onion, bell peppers, chedder cheese, 8 big olives (some with garlic cloves in them), olive oil on it, some feta cheese squares.

Olives, feta and pita and all that jazz.... When I was there I came home with the shits for 3 days. I've since reconciled myself to the fact that I don't like tasty food. Bland for me. I won't deny it, won't fight it.

Started off doing 10 minutes shadow boxing. Not really rounds, more just concentrate on stuff for so many minutes.
Held for 5 2 minutes
Hit for 5 2 minutes. Different rounds concentrating on stuff.

Did a load of stuff after that. No sparring, much the shame. But lots and lots of conditioning work, which to be honest I found quite easy. My conditioning is quite high at the moment.
About 4 people asked me if I was fighting soon.

Then again I was in the training zone and told quite a few people to shut the fuck up and get on with it because they were fucking about and/or talking.

My sense of humour has apparently been missed (comments about sam chatting up boys and that he has oil in his bag, but it isn't thai oil, but it does have a warming quality to it).

Lack of fucking sleep. Bed at 12.30, up at 6.45. I'm usually absolutely fucked after a nights training but don't feel that out of it today.

Snoozed a bit and then went down to gym for 40 minutes doing HR stuff on the elliptical.
The annoying this about being fitter, it's a **** to get my HR to 150's.
My average HR was 143, even though resistance wise I had it on level 14.

edit- oh yeah, my HR dropped from 155 to 113 in about 2 1/2 minutes which surprised me. I was walking home during this period so not a 'rest' rest either.

Squat.
Built up to full ass to grass, easy 5 @ 102.5

PL stance, did some 5's at 112.5. A rack lock out @140 to remind myself of the weight.

Sumo deads (sore lower back so no GM's)
Got up to 120 for 5 with snatch grip. Grip was shocking. Previous sets were fluid and fine, last one I did 3 before having to reset each rep for the last 2

Wasn't supposed to be a taxing pushing session.

The second set wasn't that fast shall we say, but it was a case of trying to get them all done. There were some reps that were in there without a press up, but towards the end of the bigger sets I tried to get high jumps to make up for it.

Cardio

Was going to have the day off, but thought fuck it, go for a run.

I covered the 5 miler from before in 36 minutes 26 seconds.
While this may sound good (especially seeing as I weigh in at 13 st 11 prior to the run), I stopped the watch about 4 times. 2 of which were for a road and dumb ass person walking in the way (I'm not a fucking ninja when I ran you bastard) and 2 times because of either the legs aching or to break up the run in my head.
The rest overal was 2 minutes (I think, I left at 10.02 and next looked at it at 10.40 when I finished).

edit- my legs (joints) are sore today.

3 rounds shadow boxing

4 rounds holding
4 rounds holding
4 rounds hitting with 30s rest

1st-3rd rounds being single double triple 3 sides, then a single set of jab right hand left upper right hand, left upper right hand right knee, latch on, 8 knees, push off and usually a mid kick. Usually did something else afterwards, I was fucking up the 2 guys for the 8 rounds previously.
4th round was 2 sets of 1 2 left hook, 1 2 left upper, 6 straights right hand, then a set of work horse for the duration of the 3 minute round.

Didn't feel too bad after about 5 minutes rest, but had to take the sparring session. After about 6 rounds of standing around though I started to see like wank.

Did some mucking about sparring for 4 rounds.
Sparred a big fella with no control for 2 rounds. He's new and he started to wallop me so at the beginning of the second I said look, do more work, less power. He hit me hard again so I fucking released on him (no hard head shots, but some body digs and low kicks). I reminded him if he hit me hard, I would hit him hard. 30s later he did it again and I went fucking mental at him (mainly because he hit me with a full shot right hook on the chin and I saw stars).
He apologised and we finished out the round by trying to get him to just continually work.
He collapsed a few times during the round because he was unfit. Spoke to him afterwards, another russian. Doesn't seem to have a chip on his shoulder, just unfit and throwing heavy shots because he was fucked. That I don't mind, people taking the piss I do.

Sparred dan for 2 fun rounds. My fitness is so so, I need more time under bar sparring to get myself back to normal.
 
Are you working towards anything at the moment Ian? Anything in the pipeline?
