I assumed he was on the tail-end of his career and knew his worst match-up would be Umar so he was avoiding him like the plague. Now I actually do think it was too much too fast for Umar; and Merab for his part looks like he’s ready to defend the belt at least a couple more times after this.

I don’t know how long he can remain champ, but that man is the best 135lb fighter in the world beyond any doubt imo.

Who can beat this guy?

Despite being 44 years old, not training, it's me. I mean he won't see the random attacks I propose and bring to the table. Like using my fingers and toes as claws. Instead of trying to beat him up, I'll cut him up,.the blood loss will definitely hurt his cardio and then when he starts to get faint...boom hit him with the slap to the ears at same time. The ringing will send him screaming back to Georgia.

Now someone go tell Dana to take me off block and get me in there!

He looked great, maybe he can still be competitive late in his career like Randy Couture?
All said and done last night was his night for sure, Maybe Umar looked passed him, a lot of people did...
I'm looking forward to his next fight...

time will beat him, the unbeatable opponent

Deiveson Figueiredo would have a great chance at beating him. That being said, Merab surpassed my expectations as well. I actually thought he had no way of beating Umar.
