In theory you could shoot him but you'd still have to go through the process of an investigation and proving your innocence which has to be a hassle even if you ultimately get off scott free.

I was right by my moms, but I was actually on a corner where my mom's house isn't visible from where this happened. And I didn't go straight to my moms afterwards. I tore my shorts so I had to change.
