Seriously though - even though i hate the guy, his achievements are really hard to ignore, whether you like him or hate him: getting out of nowhere, possessing no skills like Jon Jones or Silva; and yet talking his way into title bouts, becoming a champion in two divisions and most of all becoming one of the biggest draws and by far highest paid athletes? Isnt it American dream come true? That's what I think is driving people to support him - they relate. If he was a super athlete like BJ Penn who won black belt tourney or Fedor who dominated one of the toughest decisions for decades, sure those are legends but people don't relate to legend they want to believe that if Conor did that - so can they.
The real question is though - why does it bother you so much? Ok, so a bunch of people rave and cum at the sound of Conor's voice - so??? A person asking others to grow up 'to accept his point of view' - maybe in need of some personal growth himself, no? :)
On the other hand - if we are talking about a role model, only 12-year old would look for a role model in a professional athlete, leave alone person who gets paid to punch others in the face. I don't love or hate the guy, he's just a UFC fighter, so I'll watch him fight.

Conor acted like a nice guy and probably was before all the crazyness, but money and fame changes people. Dude probably got lost in his own persona, plus booze and drugs, associating with the wrong "crowd", etc. Still, nobody really knows how he is off camera with family and friends.

no charges have ever been filed. and those allegations of sexual assault are not still under investigation....those allegations were years ago...if they had any evidence at all, he would have been charged.

I'm a fan of him because I like fighting and he's a great and entertaining fighter. I like Khabib for the same reason.

I'm not here to befriend or date these fighters. I'm here to be a fan of their craft, not their personality

GTFOH with this high school stuff. I couldn't care less about any fighter's personality.
