I don't know how people are able to predict Jones vs Stipe

It's useless trying to convince these retards that this is 50-50 coin flip. You're just going to hear "Stipey is 67 years old and hasn't won a fight in 10 years" and "Jon is a duck and should've vacated the title" over and over again. Then when Mr. Stipey dusts Jon's chin, "Only because Jon is washed now."

Aside from the Ngannou loss, we also saw Stipe vs DC 3, and both guys were sad shells of their former selves in there

Stipe has never faced someone with the level of diverse skills like Jones has. Jones has submission grappling, clinch, elbows, GnP, all way better than anyone Stipe ever faced

And I hate that I sound like a glazer saying that cause I hate that eye poking roided domestic abuser pos. But he's good at winning and he wouldn't take this fight if he didn't think his odds of winning were basically 100%

Complete 50-50 for me to pick/predict a winner. |Neither have been all that active and past their prime, not in a "totally shot" way, but by their standards at least.

We also saw Stipe vs. DC 2, where both guys were sad shells of their former selves. And Stipe didn't exactly distinguish himself in Stipe vs. DC 1.

They don't know for sure, they just know it is likely. They're giving it as a clear outcome just so JJ fights Aspinall. When the fight was announced, most ppl wouldn't say anything. Suddenly, Stipe became Joe Biden in ppl's eyes. It's just ppl's ways of making fighters fight more so they can hope they don't retire undefeated.

It's simple. One is a full-time fighter, the other is a full-time firefighter. Only way a win is possible is by fluke.
Do you really envision Stipe dominating Jones?

The form of both men being such a big unknown does give some interest I'd agree, its just not something which should be happening for the HW title.

Stipe being in worse form though seems much more likely to be given his age, inactivity and coming off of a massive KO loss.

It’s an extremely evenly matched fight. People have short memories and are totally wrong about the fight
And if you are totally wrong about the fight, will you admit that, or will you move the goalposts like you always do?

Rhetorical question since you'll obviously just move the goalposts

I have never, ever done that. I fully accept that stipe could lose brutally, just like is always possible and has happened before. I’ve always accepted that and admitted when it happened.

The only fight I have a problem with is the first DC fight, which stipe fully avenged anyway

Many people are saying Stipe has been so inactive, but since 2019 Jones has had 4 fights and Stipe has had 3. Let's not forget that Jones didn't look so good in some of those fights against smaller and less skilled men than Stipe.

Jones didn't look like prime Jones or a killer in his last two LHW fights, but he didn't look bad at all and, contrary to popular Jones-hater belief, pretty clearly won both fights. The Gane fight is a little difficult to evaluate because of how it played out, but he looked fine as far as can be judged.

Stipe looked like an old punching bag with arms against DC and in the second Ngannou fight.

The good thing here is that Jon doesn’t posses HW KO power so Miocic just needs to survive subs and get back to his feet when taken down. Stipe might do ok if this turns out to be a standing “point-fight” if Jon can’t find TDs

They can’t but it’s convenient to say Jones by a landslide so his haters can dismiss it if he wins. Stipe has never been a slouch

Evenly matched? Both guys have question marks to their name and that's the problem. The Jon of the past is no more. Championship level Stipe with all the confidence in the world is long gone.

This can't be a 50/50 due to Jon Jones having a couple of clear advantages. Age, activity, didn't get knocked out in his previous match

I don’t know about those advantages tbh. Jon is 4 years younger, but has 5 more fights and been fighting 2 years longer. And he’s coming off a serious injury. Jon has 2 mins of fight time since 2021 and Stipe has 7, both guys went 25 mins once in 2020. And I’m not sure how the KO to Francis has much relevance.

I don’t think anyone has much of a clear advantage. Jon has a camp and fight in 2023, but i wouldn’t say clear edge where it’s a factor

Jon is currently a -700 favorite and Stipe is +500 on odd picks.

If you think Stipe has a chance there's a lot of money to be made. I can't even justify placing a bet on Jon. I don't take favorites above -300. I've had a -500 lose before

I hope some of you are trolls saying stipe has a 505/50 shot this is legit 1/100.
Stipe can somehow land a ko on the most elusive fighter in history at advanced age from retirement.
