If you like watching men grab assing so much, why not watch some gay pornhub?
I bet that wouldn't have happened if you were better at the fighting game. There's a difference between knowing something is allowed and liking it. Ever play a fighting game?
How did ya feel about that guy that got one light punch ahead and then ran away until time ran out. I mean, it's not BREAKING THE RULES or anything. So you couldn't have been annoyed right?
Who do you think was doing it?I bet that wouldn't have happened if you were better at the fighting game.
Agreed. The instant rematches put contender ship in a standstill and honestly cost fighters their opportunities in their most prime moments. Kills their momentum. It’s also why champs shouldn’t be choosing their opponents. There should be a responsibility to always and only be fighting the next top contender, or the belt revoked because it’s not about the fighter, it’s about the sport. If you’re not willing to fight the top contenders, you’re not championing shit. The second fight never needed to happen considering Val literally quit in the first fight when she tapped out. No one should get an instant rematch if they quit. Go pick up a win or two and earn the rematch.

Man you guys would have hated Randy. There's a difference between knowing something is allowed and liking it. Ever play a fighting game?

Yep, bs judging in earlier fights is a large part of why this one played out this waycan't really blame Val for playing it a bit safe for this trilogy fight. First fight she made a dumb mistake and the second fight she was robbed by Mike "10-8" Bell. So she didn't want to leave any room for any discrepancies. She was dominant the entire time.

F'n laughable the way Omalley was built up as some one shot ko guyI think you should let somebody hold you against some fence and knee your legs for a couple minutes straight
Then you can come back and tell me how good those felt..
Hey could you tell me the part where O'malley did a whole bunch of damage wasn't he supposed to be the super skilled sniper who has one shot k.o power ?
Last time I check all the rounds and all fights start standing
you know my favorite part of the fight was when O'malley stook his hands in Merabs gloves to try to do an armbar that was my favorite part.... That type of behavior right there tells you of how underprepared O'Malley was his coaches let him down
Very well putI'm not gonna pretend for a second that effective grappling that doesn't end up with a submission or towards a tko isn't as exciting as some swangin and bangin, but seeing someone get broke down by good grappling IS still exciting. The fact that people are not as excited by one guy who wins vs how exciting they think the losing fighter can be is fine, I get that, but getting upset and offended by it is peak crybaby privilege.
Grasso and Sean laid and prayed. Lying on the bottom, clinging on for dear life, begging for a stand up.question? so you are ok going back to wall and stall.? because you sound like your glorify it i dont mind wrestling to finish, but the Jon Fitch technique got its name for reason ITS BORING LAY AND PRAY!
At least you are one of the few not absolving Sean and alexa just because you are salty.I've seen this quite a bit since the fights and the answer has not changed. People like grappling. It's why they liked Khabib and it's why they like Oliveira and Islam, but what people don't like is grappling that is just control time really and nothing more. Yes, Sean and Alexa need much better TDD, but just because they need better TDD does not take away the fact that Valentina and Merab did not do much, if any damage with all their control time.
You could argue that in some rounds Alexa was busier off her back searching for subs than Valentina was in top position. Also, Merab has a really good resume but that does not change the fact that his style is boring to watch. He has amazing cardio and great wrestling. Perfect, if that is the case then stop kissing and yelling at people and actually try and finish people for once. You could argue that Merab wet blanketed his way to the title and while that's fine for him it brings down the quality of the fight.
It comes down to what you want to see in a high level MMA fight. I, personally, don't want to see wet blankets but maybe you do, and while your decision is valid it makes the sport a lot more boring to watch.
Sean and to a lesser extent Alexa were anti fighting. "I have zero grappling and TDD so I'll just hold on for dear life at the bottom and hope the ref cuts me a break"Grappling is all well and good, what we witnessed on Saturday was.. idk... Anti fighting? I love seeing fighters go for submissions or ground and pound. Problem isn't grappling, it's avoiding fighting, we witnessed the ground version of Guida vs Maynard.
And with fair matchmaking Sean wouldn't have got a sniff of the titleO'Malley and Grasso simply aren't well rounded enough to be anything other than fly by night champs
1000% percentI think a lot of the complaints have more to do with who lost rather than how they lost. Most of these people would have no issue if Sugar Shins had wrestled Merab to decision.
