Hey, Will.
I was hoping you could confirm or reject a suspicion I have had regarding Scientology...
It is obvious there are front groups everywhere, but are they directly entrenched in this apparent pseudo-science which goes by names such as:
1) Nutrition Response Testing
2) Applied Kinesiology
3) Contact Reflex Analysis
This is the jist of it...
Although there are different names and maybe slight differences between them, they all seem to be the same mumbo jumbo and usually practiced by a chiropractor or retired chiropractor (a profession which I am only now realizing is more alternative than medical lol).
Apparently the founder of "Nutrition Response Testing" is a Scientologist named Freddie Ulan. That alone is a huge turn-off for me, but I try to be open minded and not bury someone's trade as being a religious front without definite confirmation. However, after researching the shit out of things, this character Freddie seems to be a little more than just a Scientologist underling; further making me skeptical of the alternative/holistic services he is pushing.
Just in general, there seems to be a HUGE connection between chiropractors and Scientology. It didn't quite make sense at first, but now that I have read some criticisms against chiropractic as an empirical science and how much that field believes in a philosophy of panacea (one cure for all) and de-emphasizes germ theory...DING DING DING. lol If you look it up, even the history of chiropractic's founding seems to read a little like Joseph Smith and the Golden Tablets.
Anyhow, I have a vested interest in religion and cults, but most importantly in their attempt to slither their way into secular areas to try and control the hearts and minds of society. After all that I have now discovered about Scientology, the South Park saying is certainly ringing true:
"C'mon Jews, show them who really runs Hollywood"
I may have opened up another can of worms there.
Thanks in advance, Will!
