I’m so sad we never got rumble vs potan

Weak AF comparison ... Rumble against a tiny, feather-fisted, carrot-topped pretender.

Has fugging NOTHING TO DO with facing a MASSIVE, TACTICAL, 6'4" ASSASSIN like Pereira ... with 10x the legit kickboxing background as Johnson. Nothing. Nada.

RUMBLE would CRUMBLE.

nope, Rumble had a god-tier chin and was never KO'd. Poatan has been KO'd before, by middleweights.

this fight would be a shootout. whoever landed first would be in trouble. but Poatan would be more affected by Rumble's power. he one-punch KO'd Glover.

put some fucking respect on Rumble's name you fanboy

Rumble would beat him in any martial arts contest. Poatan has sensitive chin. has inferior technique, no wrestling to speak of. Maybe Poatan would win if they had a BJJ match but who cares
oh yeah inferior technique, he's only a two division champ in kickboxing and MMA.

what an absolutely stupid take. i think Rumble beats Poatan but youre literally dismissing Poatan's whole fucking career. are you a troll account or something?

glover wouldnt have had much advice to give poatan on how to fight rumble. i definitely would have loved to have seen that fight

No fan boy, boy.

Rumble had no "god-tier chin" ... he just never faced Poatan, who has god-tier power + technique.

Rumble would crumble. (Repeat this to yourself 10x.)

Prime vs Prime i'm taking rumble. More explosive out the gate and more power. If it went all 3 rounds, I could see Alex out pointing him as Rumble got tired. Although I believe it would be a similar fight and result to rumble vs gustafson.

You do realize, you are not Alex Periera right? You are just a fan, arguing as if he needed you to defend him. These are all opinions. A lot of people disagree with you. I'm sure most of the people that are disagreeing with you witnessed Rumble against the likes of Gustafson, Bader, Teixera, etc.

Rumble was a front runner. The best striker he faced was Vitor, who immediately rocked him and had him shooting for TD's non-stop. The second best striker he faced was Gus and Gus made the mistake of giving Johnson too much space and time and he paid for it.

There's nothing there that Pereira has never seen before in his long high level striking career. Plus he's not a front runner in fact he's made a career out of overcoming adversity and making a brutal comeback in fights.

repeating things that arent true over and over again and expecting different results is the definition of insanity, so no i wont do that

they both have fuck you power, its a matter of who lands first. and since we've seen Alex KO'd stiff, thats why i cant pick against Rumble. Rumble had the same power from Welterweight to Heavyweight. keeping that power through so many weight classes is remarkable.

i do think if it went more than 2 rounds, Alex would have the cardio advantage.

Claiming Johnson has more power is pretty redundant. Both have one shot kill power, it's like saying one tank can blast you harder than the other tank. The result is death either way.

More importantly, Pereira has KO power in his flying knees and high kicks. Rumble just has the hands and neglected his high kicks. The power advantage goes to Pereira.

Thank you for the clarification, genius.

I would have never been aware of any of these things, without your perspective.

I won't disagree with that, I just feel rumble would be faster to the punch in the first few minutes. He was always dangerous in the first round because of his explosiveness. I do think Alex probably wins if it gets out of the first round though. Probably a similar TKO to his first fight with Izzy.

We've seen Alex Pereira face the best kickboxers in Glory + MMA.

Alex had never been "KO'd stiff" ... EVER [in ANY venue (40 Kickboxing fights, 20 MMA fights) ... prior to his 4th meeting with Adesanya.

So comparing Rumble's bullshit, NON-elite previous (tiny, amateur) record to Alex' legitimate, ABSOLUTE-elite professional record makes you a fogging clown.

Period.

Rumble can beat him. Rumble can wrestle and his cardio will hold as long as he is the hammer. I don't think Rumble will be completely lost on his feet. Rumble had experience with training partners such as Spong, Verhoeven, Ghita, Overreem and Izzy. I think even Saki crossed paths with Rumble. Most of those guys are better leg kickers than Alex. Alex is very effective with a calf kick in MMA but he doesn't set it up. Alex wasn't an exceptional leg kicker in kickboxing either. His leg kick offense/defense isn't all there.

I am not saying Rumble will beat Alex in kickboxing. Alex isn't going to just get freebies with Rumble by kicking him in the calves

Alex is incredibly good at rolling off punches and countering...that being said, that's the most dangerous game in the world against a guy like Rumble

non - elite record? i didnt know challenging for a UFC title twice means youre non elite. thats news to me.

Rumble was NEVER KO'd stiff. or TKO/KO'd at all! funny how that works.

you are a fanboy and have your biases, so thats that. and stop with the multi colored fonts, this isnt your MySpace profile.

To an RNC from a kickboxer? Rumble never crumbled once in the standup! Except maybe that eye poke…

LHW Rumble does exactly the same thing to Alex as he did to his mentor!
Guess how he got rnc’d though. It wasn’t from guys wrestling him, it was from him panic wrestling and giving up his neck
