Hey I wanted to ask you - is there a way to recognise the nations of the Caucasus just by looks? Like for example, I do find that Sadulaev doesn't look Chechen. But is there a way to recognise an Avar from a Lezgin from a Lak, etc?

No there is surprising variety (appearance wise) within smaller peoples of Dagestan, and all of us can look like a Chechen or even Ossetian or Ingush.
Kumyks are technically Turkic but I'm not going to lie, I'd be hard pressed to pick them in a lineup.

Others like Georgians and Armenians definitely have their distinctive looks however.
