I want to be controversial and fun too! Maldonado stopped Fedor.
Im very impressed with Gane but he doesnt seem to have the power of these guys, and he literally just got here. Mirko and Fedor packed true HW power.First of all they weren’t truly HWs.
6’2 225lbs CroCop and 6’ 230lbs chubby Fedor, were 2 LHW without a weight cut. We have had MW’s bigger than that. That’s way they seemed fast.
Secondly, Gane moves better than both of them and he’s a 6’4 245lbs shredded true HW
HW as a whole has questionable competition, regardless of the org. However, Pride HW >>>> UFC's HW back when Fedor was the kang. Look at what he did to the previous UFC champs in Arvloski and Silva. Then you got guys like Chuck going to fight in Pride and getting handled, so Pride was definitely a legit org and had the better big men (overall) during that time.Fedor and his longevity is something that likely will stand the test of time for many years to come. I do think he faced a lot of questionable competition however. But the heavyweight longevity and legacy is his.
I don’t think he lacks power, he just has a very safe style. It seems he doesn’t commit 100% to his punchesIm very impressed with Gane but he doesnt seem to have the power of these guys, and he literally just got here. Mirko and Fedor packed true HW power.
Charles Oliviera has been submitted and KOed multiple times.
Dustin Poirier as well.
Jan Blachowicz also.
Robert Whittaker.
Gaethje.
Even Jiri Prochazka.
Does it mean they all suck now? Lol
Blaydes have only lost to 2 men, who have 23 TKO/KO UFC wins combined. Lewis holds UFC KO record and Ngannou has a 100% finishing rate. Blaydes doesn’t have a glass chin. He holds wins over Volkov, JDS, Overeem, Hunt, Oleinik and he’s an elite HW. Nice try sucker!
Jairzinho has 76-8-1 (64 KO) record in kick boxing and held numerous world titles. He beat JDS, Overeem and Arlovski . He’s only lost to Ngannou and Gane. He’s one of the best strikers to ever compete at HW.
You’re super biased in your approach and it shows.
No, they are not. You’re just proving how detached from the reality you really are.

Here’s the current top10. You see any old guys here?
And HW’s have gotten way bigger, more athletic and more athletic on average. Look at guys like Ngannou, Stipe, Blaydes, Gane, Volkov. All at least 6’4, 240-280 pounds lean ripped beast. They also are way more technical than people give them credit for. Gane is the most technical fighter I’ve ever seen at HW. His movement, footwork, feints, stance switches, the variety of punches, kicks, knees, elbows mixed in with slick submissions is something I’ve never seen before at HW.
Stipe and now also Ngannou are complete well rounded beasts. Blaydes is elite wrestler with solid striking. Volkov is super technical for a HW as well. Jairzinho is a world class kick-boxer.
You’re just throwing around baseless, false claims and that’s it.
You're not going to change people mind on here about lewis skills my guy. He's a dime a dozen I the world. I like his style and he entertaining but his skills themselves are mediocre.
There has been better kickboxers than jairzinho that enter the UFC . I haven't been impressed by his overall skills at all either.
Blaydes got a glass chin.
New breeds HW is a myth lol.
That list is horrible from past prime HW lol. I think Francis and blayds could do well in other era, the rest I'm not to sure of lol.
Some of them aren't even that proven yet in the top 10.
You’re so biased, you just close an eye to any facts in front of you and then repeat the same dogma without even bothering to base it on any factual arguments. I’m feeling like talking to someone in a cult. It’s hopeless.
Go preach “Pride never die” to someone else!
I’ve never stated that. Fedor, Big Nog and CroCop could still be competitive today. I would favour Ngannou, Stipe and Gane to beat them thoughYou honesty think prime HW in the past have no chance against those guys on that list.... Of so, I think you're the bias one lol.
Just to get an idea of what the modern consensus looks like.
Exactly like it sounds: your HW GOAT pick.
I still have it as Fedor. He's still pretty clearly on that throne.
Dunno who is in contention, though I definitely like Ngannou. Exciting as all Hel and well spoken. Although, he still has some tests ahead of him.
I think if Francis faces some deep waters competition and absolute wars, like Shodo did against Cro Cop, Nog and Fujita, then it will definitely be telling.
On the flip side, Francis might get it just by Hulk smash tactics, though one would think the strategy won't work too long.
Gotta be Cain when you look at his performances and how dominant he was
Prime Cain beats Fedor, Stipe, Ngannou in the same night
1. Cain
2. DC
3. Fedor
4. JDS
5. Stipe
CroCop and Nog were definitely in their prime and by far are the best Fedor's wins. But fighters like Coleman, Randleman, Big Tim were over their primes. Arlovski was also in his prime but he always had chin questions and actually looked really good early in the fight. Fedor also has a bunch of cans on his record.Fedor beat his rivals when he was young and they were young, too. It's not Stipe's fault he got the aging HW div, but that is the reality. He beat near 40-year-olds. Nog and Werdum beat top HW's closer to their prime as well. But Stipe's record is still impressive as a whole, so he's top 5 by default.
Strikeforce DC would be putting together a reign of dominance if he was in the UFC today. The closets was probably prime DC from strike force. I think DC physically was the best then not in the UFC.
