We seem to be returning to the bad old days a little bit. Pubs for gay men only is kinda similar to village clubs where only men were allowed to be members, etc.

yeah. We still have a few old " men only upper class clubs " that have been around a quite some time.

Usually entwined with certain members . ( politician media wealth etc )


yeah its a physical hotel / pub im referring to which is mind bogglingly discriminative. Theres zero chance thered be a straights only bar legal.. i still have no idea how they vet that .. which is so strange.

Hell a woman lost the lawsuit about discrimination for trying to exclude trans from her woman only pick up app in aus .

we also had a public bushwalk made aboriginal only ( which got funnier when they tried to exclude aboriginal woman )

Taking a stab at why were regressing. Might be because the goalpost of equality we all aimed for keeps on moving time and time again.

There was probably a great deal more assimilation goimg on when we were younger ( definetely for me ) now newer arrivals group in established communities ( not saying its wrong ) so rather than developing newer networks it becomes more of a internal community.

And discrimination and isolation becomes viewed as " protection ? A positive not a negative?

They (The All Blacks) still do the 'original' haha, about 40% of the time, but they also now do haka 'Kapa o Pango' that was written specifically for the All Blacks about 20 years ago

I know it’s not the type of political protest most of our right leaning posters here enjoy, nobody cosplayed in a bison hat, no chants of hang mike pence, no smearing feces on the wall. Overall, it’s still pretty cool though.
