How would things gone if Brock fought HMC ?s

Past his prime by then and wasn't ever that good.

True but Brock was 1-1 going into that fight with his sole victory being over a can. He wasn't being protected, rushed beyond belief to a title shot sure.

I love Brock and am a huge fan (yes I do enjoy pro wrestling for what it is) but he was and could still be a legit HW fighter. If you look at who he fought with his amount of experience that is enough to give him respect. He won a title and even if it was from a past his prime Randy it is still impressive that he did and then beat Mir and Carwin. How many people could do what he did? I say he's smart for taking the money in WWE but I also hang from his nuts so flame away

Mir was way lighter and less strong, afterwords he developed a complex and started adding more lifting and gaining weight.

Couture was like 40lbs lighter, 40 something year old, and on the verge of retiring and he was still schooling Brock till he miscalculated his reach.

Mir was 245 pounds, he certainly wasn't small. And Brock just mauled him in their second fight.

Corture was the heavyweight champion. Undisputed. He had beaten a guy, in his prior fight, that was taller than Brock and had to cut from near 300 pounds in Gabriel Gonzaga and before that, Tim Sylvia. Size clearly wasn't the most important factor in that fight. Corture beat guys that were big and was the champ for a reason. Simply put, Brock was the better fighter on that night. You can't bring in-fight mistakes to delegitmize a victory because then you'd have to delegitimise virtually all victories in the MMA

Lesnar was definitely a top 5 HW
He was a freakshow who was fed smaller and weaker opponents. He tapped to Reem's strikes didn't even get KO'd. That Cain loopsy cartwheel just showed how silly he was.

If he were a legit HW he wouldn't have ran back to Wrestling.

What does "a legit HW" mean in your opinion? Top 5 HW of all time?

Pretty sure Brock would have tooled HMC, but this would have been a way better debut for him.

HMC would have gotten fucked up. Put on his back like a helpless turtle and smashed

Exactly, Brock was 265, he way outweighed Mir. HIs strategy was to maul guys, that were lighter and weaker and not as good wrestlers, that worked briefly till everyone figured out he was strong but one trick pony.

I don't think he could have taken down HMC, it'd have become a standing war and Brock would have lost.

Remember Brock's first fight wasn't supposed to be Min Son Kim, it was Hong Man Choi but the Choi had to have surgery and it was scrapped.

This may have changed history.

HMC was in his prime then, slow but a good kickboxer. More importantly he was a lot bigger than Brock and bullying him with weight and strength would not have been possible.

After a freak run, it was later exposed that besides good wrestling and strength Brock had little to offer in MMA and a flinch reflex which could not be helped.

I think he would have lost to HMC and then continued on the amateur circuit for a while.

Brock smashes him.

if Carwin hadn't gassed he wouldn't lost this one too.
The turtling up is really great technique.

Anyway to discredit the man huh...Now that was Carwin's fault for gassing and getting chocked out. It takes nothing away from the win.

Are you the same guy who takes away Werdums win because Cain didn't train properly?

Past his prime by then and wasn't ever that good.

Past his prime at 30? In a division where the average age is now 35+. Herring was coming in off a win over Cheik Kongo and a very close fight with Nog. Herring was a long time top 10 fighter you're just a hater.

He also had wins over giant wrestlers, he was the first guy to stop Tom Erikson and he was the first guy to finish "The Smashing Machine" Mark Kerr.

You youngsters are idiots. Brock almost died from diverticulitus. I would have gone back to wrestling just like he did. He did great against the tough competition he was fed. He should have trained at American Top Team or with Jackson. He never got his striking and striking defense down. He destroyed Coutore, Mir twice as the first fight was a balogna standup for one back of the head strike, raped Herring, etc.

nice try, HMC sucked... Brock would have ran right through him

who hates brock enough at this point to start a thread just to bash him post after post? it's not like he fought recently

He would have taken HMC down and destroyed him just as quickly as Min Son Kim. You said it yourself, HMC was slow. Brock would have doubled him in a split second and then the rest would be just a matter of time.

No, it's Randy's fault that he came in and dominated a 265lb Tim Sylvia, won the championship, finished a Gabriel Gonzaga fresh off a highlight reel KO of Cro Cop, and then became severely past his prime and undersized against an extremely green Lesnar.

Plus how can you be fed the champ?

Completely absurd commentary. If he didn't suffer a VERY serious illness the sky was the limit with him. Pre-illness the guy was rolling thru everyone. To say he's not a legit heavy just destroys your credibility. He'd be a legit HW with how thin that division is literally today.
