Dagestan is located in the Caucasus Mountains (North Caucasus)

North Caucasus:
Dagestan (Khabib, Rustam, Ali)
Chechnya (Taisumov, Adlan, Khalidov)
North Ossetia (Rustam Chsiev)
Ingushetia (Yandiev Brothers)
Circassia [Cherkessia & Balkaria] (Tumenov)

South Caucasus:
Georgia (Levan Makashvili, Guram)
Armenia (Gegard Mousasi & those guys from Ronda's camp)
Azerbaijan (That one guy Askren beat in OneFC)

All countries listed are apart of the Caucasus Mountain with the north belonging to Russia and the south being independent. All share a similar culture with little differences. They all have a fighting culture. The north more so IMO. It is VERY common (almost normal) for kids to start training in combat sports (especially wrestling) at the age of 5.
