I honestly think it was better than everything after Predator 2.

There was some cringe things in it,but it is absolutley a step in the right direction this series needs to go in.


1) Predator was the heavy. No friendliness. No teaming up. Just kill.

2) No extra bullshit,no origin,no autistic kids

Now granted,there was some stuff in the movie that was a bit shit,but OVERALL this was was good effort and hopefully they go more in this direction.

Yeah that's exactly how I felt, it was a fun ride and I'd put it third in the franchise.

It's worth watching for sure. I haven't re-watched it yet but probably will at some point.

Side note, I watched Predators the other day and honestly... I liked it more than I remembered. It's hard to get on board with Brody as the bad ass, but other than that it's pretty cool.

I like the idea of it more than the execution. It just had too much going on and it all suffered because of it,except for Fishburne,who fuckin killed it.

The samurai shit was corny and lame. People keep saying they should do a movie about just that,just so they can see a non corny version of that play out...but they need to work on making better movies before attempting that. If they can get to some serious shit,that could be cool

Anyway back to Predators...Stop with the two races of predator bullshit,stop with their little fucking hunting "dogs" and evil "That 70s guy" and it coulda been some shit. They tried to do too much.


Opening scene was a wicked sick idea tho. Cant say they ripped that off of ANYTHING.

They can fix it.

They just need a director with some balls,and a studio who wont get in the fuckin way.

The Predator carnage was at a fine level. They just need to up the realism of the things goin on around him. No little girls and their pet dogs,and we really could have somethin here.

Also they need to find a way for the Predator to look cool when they take the helmet off. Theyve never managed to get that right after predator 2. They use CGi and fuck w the design too much. The "Feral" predator from PREY looked cool but when he took the mask off,he just looked shitty. Stick to the fuckin animatronics bitch.

Predator 2 is fucking awesome

The City Hunter is the most badass of all Predators.

He has the most malevolent helm and with the killing of King Willie and his assuault on the subway train easily PROPELS Predator 2 above EVERYTHING except the original movie.

Yeah Predators wasn't bad. Oleg Taktarov did a really good job as an actor for an MMA guy. One of the few that can get through a role without reading false as a human being. I thought Brody was fine but the worst part was the Fishburne sideplot. It was a good idea in general but then they just went and made it something that would have been better left out.

I felt the opposite. Fishburne' performance you could actually buy. It was the one not so boring and predictable part. It was just so short that it wound up not mattering all that much. Just some place for the party to hang until the next scene.

lol yeah I was like 13 or 14 at the time and loved it. However hasn't aged all that well and it's chokefull of late 80s early 90s action cheesiness. Can't deny it's still super entertaining has some great set pieces like the scene in the train and Gary Busey is in it.
Predator>Prey>Predator 2>......the rest (none stands out, maybe The Predator and Aliens Vs Predator Requiem do stand out for the worse. Both are barely watchable)

The Predator (2018) is a crime against eveything we love and hold dear.
AVP R is like The Godfather compared to that piece of shit.

It's fun and I think it's second only to the OG movie. All the sequels have been trash. This one actually had some merit.

Fishburne's acting wasn't a problem. He delivered the character as written about as well as could have been done. Like I said the idea of a guy in his situation was interesting. Having him exit the movie the way he does...

...with this obviously seasoned clever stealthy survivor basically just committing mass murder / suicide by making a spectacle out of giving away his and their position in the most stupid and attention seeking way possible...

...was pretty dumb. The guy just turned on a dime and did stuff completely out of character because the writers decided the plot needed him to.

Predator has the career arc of Houston Alexander. Came out smashing cats left and right in the first movie, same with the second one, took a whole team to take him down. Then after that entire teams of Predators can't get shit done and by Prey he's basically gassing out against Dada 5000.

Put your scepticism aside, TS, and fire up some Jiffy Pop because Prey is pretty damn good.

It is ultimately a girl power movie, but it's so well done that I had nothing to complain about. Besides, its genre mashups of historical drama, science fiction, action and horror make the ride there really fun.

I had a blast watching Prey and highly recommend it.

Will do. I like when franchises do something different. I like that it's not set in present day.

Nah I loved Predator 2. I've rewatched it in the past couple of years and still thought it was great. Prey is pretty good but it's not better than Predator 2.
