Movies Rewatched Predators

is The Predator really that bad ? A few times I almost watched it but ive heard too many times that it is shit.

It’s unbelievable bad. Terrible writing, jokes, acting, story, sloppy mismatched cuts and editing. (There was a part where a soldier gets his arm cut off and the predator takes his appendage but it’s the wrong hand in the next shot... smh) The whole thing was so bad I think Hollywood put Shane black in director jail and rightfully so.

The gf and I watched them all in the last three days. No (major) spoilers. My list.

1.Predator: duh

2.Predators: This one was better than I remembered. I'd say it's almost even with Prey but I found it a little more entertaining and it introduced the different Predator factions. (This was my gfs favorite one)

3.Prey: Pretty good once you get past all the people speaking English but somehow not understanding each other. I guess there is a dubbed version but I didn't see that one.

4.Predator 2: I really wanted to rank this one higher because I loved it as a kid but it hasn't aged as well as I would have liked. It still has one of the best endings in any movie imo. (This was the gfs least favorite)

5.Alien vs Predator: This one is oddly rewatchable. Has some dumb moments but overall I like it. When I realized the chick was the same one from Blade... mindblown.gif

6.Alien vs Predator Requiem: This one wasn't as bad as I remember but the whole alien Predator Hybrid thing was dumb and kind of doesn't make sense. This movie was also DARK and not in a good way I mean I had to turn the brightness on my tv way up to see anything.

7. The Predator: Maybe they could have had a decent movie here if it wasn't for the over the top cringe inducing dialogue throughout. It was just awful.

Might be an unpopular opinion but i have it as such:

Predator - 9/10




Prey - 7.5/10


Predator 2 - 6.5/10

Predators - 6/10






The Rest were 5 or below.

I enjoyed Prey and thought much of it was good. Direction, sound, pacing, etc.

Predator 2 was cheesey at times but was above average.

Predators had the potential to be much better but fell off at various parts.

About as or almost as memorable for me as the minigun in the first one. Interesting choice. Almost its own character. Big fan

I agree but upon rewatch I rate it much higher. Way more solid IMO than I remember despite having so much unutilized potential. Very rewatchable too. I rewatched Prey then Predators recently
