How to get a physique and athletic ability like Yoel Romero?

Years of steroids.

You probably won't end up his muscle shapes and body proportions, but you'll achieve a body composition more similar to his.

Cuban gene pool, and dont forget your vitamins, hard work (and vitamins) can only take you so far, top athletes have also genetic advantages.

Was Yoel the inspiration for your username?

If you are for real, those are some "boss' stats!

Thanks.

I’m for real.

I’m the dude on the left.

Edit: BJJPitbull8 is free to post a pic if he likes. I’ll be very impressed if he can show me up.

Edit Edit: Also, I’d like to point out that I’m a lifelong performance athlete. Not a bodybuilder.

let alone looking even half as good as Yoel, but at his age at 41 or whatever? thats some next level shit lol,

he is a freak, an anomaly and anyone who thinks its only hard work and dedication and possible for anyone is delusional :D

It is the way Yoel is as a person and how he pushes and naturally protects his body. Also life centered around such training.

Yoel always used athleticism rather than conventional technique in wrestling, he trains to be an athlete first and foremost .

You talk without steroids?? Forget Romero or Lombard. If you eat right, lift heavy weights and take a photo before breakfast, while being a bit dehydrated, it is possible to look like Alves (minus the shoulders, obviously).

If anyone has a different advise, they are probably untrained slobs, that just make things up.

100% clean guys:rolleyes:

You cannot build huge traps naturally.

I’m a 39 year old, lifelong strength and conditioning enthusiast, gym rat and MMA participant from 2007-2013. I’ve spent more time training and in gyms than you’ve spent in school and I guarantee I’m in much better shape than you.

GOATER is 100% correct.

Your post suggests you have no idea what you’re talking about.
You and Goater are coming across stupid here. There are genetic freaks and just because you haven't seen one doesn't mean they don't exist. You can only speak for yourself and those you've witnessed, yet you speak for everyone.

Natural or gear?

I’ve trained with a lot of people over the years. University football teams, soccer players, MMA athletes, including 7 UFC fighters, 3 NHL athletes, cyclists, bodybuilders, powerlifters, hammer throwers, Olympic athletes, etc. Worked with many coaches, including an NBA and an MLB strength & conditioning coach (2 different men). Never mind BJJ in Brazil (with numerous gold medalists), Muay Thai in Thailand etc. Many, many coaches. No. I suppose I haven’t trained with every athlete on earth, but I would submit I have an extremely broad range of experience over many years and many disciplines, and thus have a very accurate idea of what goes on. Probably much better than most.

One of my best friends is in the UFC now.

Another of my best friends is a Guinness record holding strength athlete.

EDIT: I will also note, when training with all those people, we talk. For example, every one of those NHL players advised that everyone in the NHL is on gear. And during those types of discussions, the athletes always laugh about the fact that the masses think high-level athletes are clean.

So... do you have better experience?

I’m not trying to condescend. Legit question.

Perhaps my 20+ years of direct involvement have steered me wrong.

EDIT: What is the extent of your own sports involvement? I suppose that might be a threshold question for someone who says I am coming across as stupid?
