Gee I should've worded my sentence differently. I meant to say if you are the type of person who would perceive as someone as underneath you because of their profession, socioeconomic status, age, rank, social hierarchy, and thus you treat them like garbage, you're a piece of shit.

But glad yall are on the same page as me.


A lot of people treat animals like shit because they're "underneath us" since they can't even speak up. It astounds me how many people (especially in certain cultures) think of animal as inanimate objects with no thoughts or feelings of their own.



The caste system is another example. I noticed in India/Asian cultures they are more egregious in their treatment of people who rank lower than them.

Realistically if you are working a 9:00 to 5:00 job as a wagey you aren't too far off from those jobs yourself.

But to answer your question, I have no real desire to cause pain through mistreatment to others in real life circumstances.

In some places the "patriarchy" feels definitely more real. I'm not surprised about Japan. I read that there's a large number of elderly women who commit suicide after their husbands retire because now they're stuck 24/7 with a guy who's ordering them around.

I remember this story from a Korean American girl I met years ago who moved to Korea to work for some tech company there which was trying to be the Korean version of amazon or something. They tried to adopt a western corporate culture with less hierarchy but habits were hard to break apparently. She said she once messed up a report or something because her Korean isn't the best and her supervisor hit her over the head with a rolled up newspaper. I didn't understand how she just took it instead of immediately complaining to HR.

At least since high school I've always made it a point to be nice to workers I interact with. I used to see the shitty side of this when I was a bouncer. Some of the rich college kids would act entitled. Especially to me as the bouncer.......meanwhile I already had my bachelor's degree in computer science and worked for huge tech companies. I just bounced because it was fun and easy money. The other bouncer was an accountant who owned his own tax business. But these entitled college students would assume we were some barely literate morons
