i realised today after watching some videos of bent over rows that ive been doing them all wrong, what i have done is pulling the bar up against my solar plexus instead of the gut,

so today i did them right for the first time and it felt really good compared to the other way, so my quesiotn is if i could do BOR

That's not necessarily wrong, it's just another variation. When i learned them i was show close grip to the gut, wide grip to the sternum.

You're just working the move through different angles.

That's fine. I do a row or chin up variation every workout.

i love rows and i did them after every bench workout.

you could do that, or you can do i three day split wit row/chin/row and alternate weeks with chin/row/chin.

but i like to have a pull, a push, and a squat every workout.

i can only train 2times aweek at the gym, i usually do one pull one push or sort them by planes like in the faq. i try to squat everytime

i used to row once a week i had push day pull day squat day...but i think i easily could do it twice a week if i wanted to get better at it...just watch ur form and the lower back pains,if u squat everytime and row twice a week ur spinal cord will get a bit tired :p

My spinal cord gets tired from reading your posts.

Try and get some heavier sets of rows in with your pulling as a supplementary exercise. Stuff like this is mentioned in the Coan/Phillipi deadlift routine (i.e. volume to the MAX ) so I believe rows and the like can only improve your pulling, so do them on those days.

who is this tiger character and why is he allowed to post... also, what the hell does it feel like to have a tired spinal cord? I can understand the muscles around your spine getting tired but the actual cord!?

just because you took to bar along another path, doesn't mean this new one was perfectly "correct" - you're going to feel any new variation more because your muscles aren't used to it.

as far as i'm concerned, there is room to play around with a bent row. however, this is generally the correct way to do it:

Row is seriously a pretty "special" excersice. There are tons of ways of doing it and most of those variations are going to do good shit for you. If you move a heavy weight controlled through a fairly large range of motion you are propably getting good shit done.

That's my man Mehdi from Stronglifts.com in the video. The man knows his stuff.

I'm sure he does. Still I want to see him doing that with 2 plates or more. I guess he will have to change his posture. And that's the problem: With 135 you can make every lift shine...
