How many UFC fans are also WWE fans?

I was a die-hard pro wrestling fan long before I was ever a fan of actual combat. I remember watching Bad News Brown smash a trophy over Bret "The Hitman" Hart's head after they co won a battle royale. I thought it was the most despicable, cowardly thing as a kid and had to watch to see if the dude in the pink ever got him back. The art of pro wrestling has truly been lost though, the characters are unappealing, the story lines are lame, the moves resemble video games and look too choreographed to resemble anything close to plausible. The promos are horrible and cringey, the story arcs genuinely have little to no pay off. Everything that made pro wrestling great just doesn't exist anymore and it's because this younger generation of performers don't listen to those that paved the way because they think they know how the business works. Wrestling will never get back to what it was because the wrestlers are now marks for themselves.

You would think not many, but then so many are bigger fans of interviews and soundbytes than fights. "This guy has no personality!" is a common complaint. Fake drama and staged altercations get eaten up. Sad times.

I don't think I've ever managed to sit trough full wrassling match. It always seemed silly as hell to me.

I kinda understand what people may enjoy in it, but it's not for me.

Pro-Wrestling Fans = Soap Opera Fans who want a less 'Girly' product.
If you are over 12 and like pro wrestling I have one letter for you... 'Y'

I saw pro wrestling live last weekend. I live in bumfuck Alabama, so whatever you're imagining-it was worse. The only guy who got legit hurt was this skinny dude who worked there. He got knocked out during the big battle royale at the end, and they couldn't figure out how to make it seem like it was part of the show. There were also two wrestlers there smaller than me. I weigh 130 lbs.

Haven't watched pro wrasslin' since I was 10 years old or so. I have worked some Pro Wrestling events though, and I am still blown away by the number of people who LOVE this totally fake, cheesy theater production. I think more folks are into Pro Wrasslin' than MMA. To each their own I guess.

I like one (UFC) as real sport, I'm invested in it to a degree.

I like the other (WWE), but as totally mindless entertainment that requires absolutely no thought or investment.

I do not want to see the two intermingled.

MMA is just another variant of pro wrestling. Like Lucha Libre. Deep down we are all Rasslin' fans.

Perhaps you are sir. I am not. MMA (at least for now...) is real. Pro Wrasslin' is total theater. There is a distinct difference.
