How many UFC fans are also WWE fans?

I’m not a wrestling fan anymore but as kid in the late 90s early 2000s the attitude era was awesome

Wrestling was fun as a child, I was an attitude era child for sure. Explaining to people unfamiliar with the product how, on primetime Monday TV, an 80 year old woman, who was pregnant by a large Olympic powerlifter, gave birth to a slimy hand that they never talked about again, or how the company owner forced a bunch of grown men to literally kiss his ass in the ring with varied levels of cooperation, always gets a laugh. It was simply Jerry springer level entertainment, and there was nothing really quite like it on TV. It was fun while I was little, even after knowing it's fake, but I simply couldnt identify with the product as a late teenager or adult.

I watched some early MMA when really little, but really became interested in the TUF/Brock era and the rest is history. No need for WWE or wrestling in general anymore. I expect they will advertise for one another, but hopefully nothing else.

I enjoy sharing this with non-wrestling fans.

This was actually an excellent, concise talk.

If you happen to have 15 minutes more than that, this is the single best documentary on wrestling I've ever seen and I use the quote that wrestling is the last great American Theater show often.

All the autistic special Ed kids at school loved WWE
Makes sense tons of you like it

A lot of the pro wrestlers were tremendous athletes before they became involved in athletic performance and the abuse their bodies go through is seriously hard core. That being said, it's scripted, it's sports entertainment, it is not an athletic contest, these "wrestlers" are ultimately performers. I like the old stuff, but they ain't no actual professional fighters period.

It started that way.

Wrestling, MMA, comic books, fitness, etc. all have a lot of overlap.

How much synergy is there actually between these two businesses?

How many people were fans of WWE? How many people are still fans of WWE?

I used to watch MMA off and on (sometimes for big fights) before Brock Lesnar came to the UFC. I knew big names in the industry but that was it. I used to be a big WWE fan though and was a huge fan of Lesnar, I started watching MMA once Brock came to the UFC and I heard he became champion. Eventually, I stopped watching WWE and now I just mainly watch UFC and once in a while some other fight promotions.

Yeah... I'm one of those fans that migrated over with Lesnar

Hearing some mma fans speak id say alot.

I think the better question is how many WWE fans are UFC fans. I think the percentage of MMA fans who watch WWE is much smaller.

Stopped watching after about 14-15 years old.
