I mean India is extremely racist and classist, but it's not the caste system specifically keeping people in poverty or enabling a government that exists in a state of bureaucratic madness and corruption beyond anything comparable in the West. Their problems are very complex.

But thats a lot more than $300/year. Maybe its different because theyre in the tropics and food grows everywhere.

What's funny is sometimes people from west look at the prices in the countries like India and say ''wow India is so cheap, we pay x amount of money for that in here :(''
i guess they think wages are the same in India and the US lol
 
I do some freelance work online and sometimes get contacted by potential clients in different parts of the world. Whenever an Indian reaches out to me, they offer to pay me a fraction of the lowest I'm willing to accept. In the beginning I tried to explain to them that nobody outside of India is working for that much, but they weren't willing to go higher. I'm at a point when I see that it's an Indian client, I don't even bother reading the email.
 
Cause it's a fucking shithole. One of if not the single worst the world has to offer. Shit people too. Hell, they even do literal shit festivals...

I have heard people say they lost weight when they went to India because they got really sick or refused to eat the food. I have not heard anyone that has been to India say they want to go back.

Also, to answer the question, they save on plumbing and toilets and transfer the savings onto the consumers.
 
Some of the smartest people I know are Indian. It amazes me considering where they come from. My one buddy went back for a 10 day work trip. The things he told me were almost unbelievable. He said every day around the same time, people go to the middle of the road which has like a culvert/ditch that separates the two sides. They go in this area and take shits, don't wipe and go back to work. He said the moment you get off the plane, the smell is overwhelming. He also said the amount of people that are barefoot in dirty places was unreal.

Fair enough but I wonder why so many people want to live there and homes are 10x-20x than they are in shit small town red cities.

Stubbornness i guess. The rural red states are poor as hell and can't afford to move. California on the other hand is having people actively move out in numbers.
