Economy How is India So Cheap?

you definitely can make a motorcycle trip out of it.
there's actual mongolian motorcycle gangs and they're pretty rough, but quite polite to foreigners.
and once you get out of the cities, there's basically this endless expanse of hills. some dirt roads, mostly just ..... nature. it's phenomenal when you drive around around evening in one of the immortal toyota pickups and you suddenly realize there's no electricity poles anywhere. the sky is enormous at night and you can see the Milky Way. It's magic. no wonder they worshiped the eternal blue sky.
one of the most memorable places i've ever been to. i hope to return one day.

I find it crazy 30 percent of population still live in the plains

To keep things same all this time to this day with tech and stuff is impressive

Yeah you probably only think about Kilimanjaro and the Masai touristy reserves.
the rest, not so great. There's sometime fucking lions running around in Nairobi. there's grenades being thrown by al shabab in cars waiting at the stop. i've been to markets where i've seen naked people selling grilled monkey meat. it's a shitshow. all the whites live in "hotels" which are compounds guarded by south african mercs. you get your car checked with a mirror underneath to see if you didn't get something planted on you while in traffic.

of course it's a 5/10. hell, after 6 you're in balkan territory. and there's no comparison.
Mombassa sounds pretty interesting, no?

well that number is deceiving since half the population lives in ulanbataar. basically most of the rest live in the open plains. you'd be driving for 5 hours in a straight line across endless hills and suddenly you see some guy on the motorbike going some other direction and after a few more hours of driving you're wondering where the hell he was coming from and how the hell does he know the way. once asked my driver if he has gps and he said no and pointed at his head. "gps here! ".
and they still have those tiny horses that can ride forever seemingly. felt i could pick one up. god i hope it doesn't change. cause the city people a lot seemed directionless and miserable, unlike the ones living on the plains. i'm still friends with a mongolian chick who's from a rich family and i swear she's exactly like those influencers you see online, same mannerisms, spending money on brands and shit.
