How intelligent is Joe Rogan?

He's a moron, but above average taking humanity as a whole.

The average intelligence of the species is sadly abysmal. Just go and see the level of argumentation in the War Room about politics to get a sample of the quality of thinking on display.
 
Stole the podcast idea from Tom Green and ran with it.
Took advantage of every opportunity that came his way, so he’s intelligent enough.

I Think he’s a bit autistic as jokes fly over his head all the time and is emotionally stunted from all the TRT and psychedelics he’s blasted in his lifetime.

It is interesting that most people here are finding Joe Rogan not smart or even a moron or finding humanity stupid, as if they are smarter than him or the rest of the world. Can you imagine some of us making a podcast or commentating a fight?:oops:

It doesn't matter how dumb we are, we (almost) never think ourselves as being dumb.
 
I think whatever happened with covid and getting a bunch of money really leaned him into his beliefs now. I used to find Joe pretty open and listened to people. Now he is just a cooler fox news anchor

Average to above average but thinks he's a savant which makes him appear sub average.

According to Peterson, very. Evey episode of joe rogans podcast is like attending to University's best classes.
 
Average, maybe slightly above.
He thinks he's smarter than he is which makes him sound pretty stupid sometimes. But on the other hand he's not as stupid as his haters claim him to be.

So Rogan can do some stuff that others can't. Is that your point?

Yes it takes a certain set of skills to keep a conversation interesting for 3 hours. It also takes a certain set of skills to be a good doctor, dentist, painter, plumber etc... I can do some shit Rogan can't, Rogan can do some shit that i cant. You can probably do some shit that i can't.

It's called being different from eachother.

I don't know Joe well enough to call him a moron, but average level seems fair.

Something tells me you might not be that dumb. The greatest advantage you can have over someone is them knowing they are smarter than you.

He is average. I say this because only a complete moron doesn't know they are a moron, and Joe has admitted several times he doesn't know on several things. I don't have much respect for him anymore but he isn't an idiot either.

My point is that when we find others dumb we most of the time think we ourselves are smarter. Otherwise it would not make sense to call (and know) someone being dumb when we think ourselves are even more dumb. So it is interesting that we often think someone is dumb while we think more high of ourselves.

Look at some of the messages and it becomes clear we think of ourselves clearly higher than in this case Rogan. From the outside one could argue that someone successful might be smarter than someone posting at a karate forum about this more successful person.

If you ask Rogan he will probably tell you that many fans are dumb and he will not think he himself is dumb. Not everyone can be right in this. So at least there must be the tendency to overestimate ourselves.

How is it the greatest advantage you can have over someone; "is them knowing they are smarter than you"? You mean that way they underestimate you and this is a big advantage?

I think a big advantage you can have is to understand being dumb ourselves. We don't know so many things but act like we are something very special. If we know we are dumb ourselves then our ego is at least a bit less and this gives room to improve more.
