Quinton "Rampage" Jackson for me acjtlslt fulfilled to become a Ufc champion back in 2007 and has notable wins over Chuck Liddell, Igor Vovchanchyn, Dan Henderson, Ricardo Arona, Murilo Bustamante.

His career was already over after his loss against Jon Jones 2011, after 2011 he was not the same fighter but with that said if he went over to heavyweight earlier and with good cardio and right team I am close to say he would be a good contender.

If he had other sparringpartners and team during his Pride career he would have beated Wanderlei by ground and pound and maybe the same with Shogun during the grand prix.

I am however impressed his achievements but do you think he could do more with right team? Let's say he represented American kickboxing acedemy and his main sparring partner was Cain and Daniel Cormier back in 2010?

He was great, and would've been even greater if he fought under UFC rules for his entire career.

He's one of the greatest raw talents in the history of the sport, but he spent a large part of his career quite underdeveloped compared to his elite contemporaries.

Overrated, he had good power and a chin but his wrestling was average
He was a top sprawl and brawl fighter with a nasty clinch game! I just think he had his time and when it was up it was up, Jones ran through that entire generation of LHWs they were all about done at that point. Jones is starting to slow down himself as we see the reemergence of dangerous LHW strikers that can snuff out point fighters.

idk but its a shame he went out like this

He was super tough and had a great combination of boxing skills and big power. He also has great slams and decent TDD as well. A little over his prime though, he heavily relied on just boxing and head hunting his opponents, and the game has caught up to him. His motivation also became questionable and hasn't really tried to evolve and work on the other areas of his game. Though he showed up in the Jones and Glover fights in great shape, and was aggressive and showed he wanted it more in the Lyoto fight, that led him getting the nod despite a bit of controversy. Still a legend and an all time fan favorite. A lot of MMA fans watched the sport because of him.

He was pretty good when he was slammin' fools. He was the UFC champ for a minute too so there's that. Overrated though IMO.

special fighter and human. one of a kind type of guy. unique character. funny. entertaining. top level elite fighter. lacked motivation at times. used questionable strategies at other times. but when he was on he was a problem for anyone. wish he came into the fedor fight in shape. i think the idea was to be big but he was just fat.

Haha even Rampage was surprised by that gift of a decision. Lyoto was robbed there...

He was a legit champ, one of the most physical forces in the division. He could have been way more dominant in the pre-jones era if he had focused on his game more. It also didn't help that he was one of those guys who went from a dynamic wrestle-boxer to a one-dimensional head-hunter.

Still, he won me some good high school bets (against guys who hadn't done their research) when he beat Liddell

edit: oh, and I forgot about the A-Team movie. That really hindered his career. Though to be fair, I think was fully down put mma behind him if he could make it in Hollywood. And that probably didn't seem like such a pipe dream considering he got the highest profile role in a movie that also starred Liam Neeson and Bradley Cooper, which is easily the biggest role an mma fighter has landed. Unfortunately it was a real turd of a film. GSP got more milage out of his 5 min in Captain America lol
