I'd never heard of her, well certainly didn't remember her, but she looked awesome.

I think this will be one of those fights where the challenger looks good until they actually have to face the champion. Then you remember just how good the champion is.

That bouncy, high-output style might have worked against Grasso, but I expect Shevchenko will sit down against it and hit some hard counters like she did against Fiorot. I'm not sold on Silva's grappling either, which is a pretty glaring weak spot to have against Shevchenko.

I don't see Val timing a takedown from kicking range. She times them when people pressure in past kicking range, which silva almost never does because she prefers long range

Right. But you combine that with her reads and ability to manipulate distance and this changes everything. And she has changed her takedown strategy a bit of late. Where she previously went for mostly body-lock takedowns and sweeps she has worked on implementing her shot more.

Regardless I think it will be a great fight.

I think valentina would beat her easy she seems to be a point fighter who can do no damage i'd not try to beat valentina at point fighting.
