How do you rank Alex Pereira in the best LHW fighters list?

It's weird because I think Pereira would destroy most of the top LHWs because most are strikers, but his resume is thin in comparison.

By total title defenses including Pride defenses, he's after Jones 11, Tito 5, Wanderlei 4, Chuck 4, DC 3. So tied with DC. Below is Rampage 2 and Machida 1. LHW has so many great fighters it's so hard to rank them besides Jones at top.

1. Jones
2. Shogun
3. Wanderlei
4. Rampage
5. Chuck
6. Machida
7. DC
8. Randy
9. Lil Nog
10. Hendo
11. Tito
12. Rashad
13. Poatan

Poatan is still great. He just didn't fight very well last night against Ankalaev. Poatan did show great takedown defense last night but I think most people would predict guys like Rashad and Randy to take Poatan down and keep him there all night.

Wanderlei, DC, Randy and Hendo are super special because they can also defeat Heavyweights. Wand and Hendo are even more special because they were able to cut down to 185 which shows they were never big guys to begin with.
Shogun, Wanderlei and Rampage were better fighters than DC? wow

Not going to rank him against history's greats, but I think he wins the rematch

I generally agree but Rumble X 2, Jones X 2 and prime Gus were a lot tougher than Poatan beating one-dimensional strikers like Hill and Jiri X 2. But some of Cormier's wins, like ancient versions of Hendo and Anderson Silva (who spent most of their careers at MW) were pretty weak.
rumble was a more one-dimensional striker than anyone pereira has fought. i dont think "one-dimensional" is the word i'd use.

Nope. Rumble had wins via punches and head kicks. He was anything but a mindless headhunter like Jiri. He was a talented and technical striker who even beat prime-ish Arlovksi at HW. He also did this, something no one else ever did and I'm sure Poatan wouldn't do against the same fighters.

so two dimensions. jiri has knee ko's, punch ko's, spinning elbow ko's. body shot KO's.

two things, if jiri is a mindless headhunter, rumble wrote the book on mindless headhunting. i've never even seen rumble throw a body shot. second, you're clearly trolling if you pretend arlovski was in his prime in 2013 lmao

i legitimately don't care. i never said he wasn't good. but he's as one-dimensional as any striker in the history of the division.
