I definitely feel you on this. I had to do the same for both of my grandparents. It was the hardest shit I ever had to do. Heart goes out to you brother.

Raquel Pennignton never did anything wrong. She never talked shit about anyone. She never assaulted anyone. She worked hard, got on a winstreak, earned a title shot.

After over decade of effort, rather then being congratulated she gets shat on by literally millions of people around the world. Gets mocked for weeks by Sean Strickland and smile through her teeth while he makes homophobic comments during the biggest moment of her career.

It really is a shame ass hats like Colby and Strickland get cheered for treating people like shit and saying stupid things when actual good people treated like garbage. She deserves better.

Raquel is a good person, however her fighting style sucks to have to watch. I've never heard anyone say that they were hyped for a Raquel Pennington fight, not once.
 
Grandmothers are the real BMFs
Grandfathers are a different story tho (in my case)
 
Meh, not even going vegetarian once a week with the option to expand that to 2 days over next years.
 
I thought that she was a boring fighter who was mediocre at best, with her becoming champion showing how terrible the division is, but now that I know that she has a grandmother, I have to support her.
 
Also, if anyone complains about a fighter and hates on them for "homophobia", that's a person that can be safely and permanently ignored.
 
I mean to be honest being a gay fighter she had the platform to speak out against what sean was saying and put an end to the ufc allowing fighters to use the platform for hate speech. it was beyond free speech. She could have said something if she cared or not. choose not to. Choose to help push the agenda.
Danas main defense was he had gay fighters on the card who didn't say a word about sean who spoke against women and gays in general.

she also fights to go the distance. if shes not doing it on purpose it needs to be corrected.
I guess its not her fault because its working. it makes the entire wmma division look bad. this is no dominant gsp fashion type decision machine this is frustrating to watch. Maybe its more on match making than it is on her. it also always feels like she could be doing more. Its hard to say just that her fights are disappointingly predictable but maybe some better match ups with change this.
 
Don't hate her, just don't care, don't watch her fights. Close the division.
