I think a lot of people mistake hating the worst parts about the country, wanting to change them and being vocal about it... to simply hating America. The sane ones of us despise things 'about' the country, but definitely not the country. I fucking love the United States, am a Combat Veteran and am beyond grateful to live here. But there are also some really shitty things about this nation as well. We seek to eliminate or change those.

In striking the 2016 voter suppression law, the Federal Court held that the legislature acted to entrench itself and “it did so by targeting voters who, based on race, were unlikely to vote for the majority party. I disagree, the bigots don't control any part of the republican party or their politics. Name one piece of racist legislation (and no the voting laws being passed arent racist). It is the media and left that defines the right as racist, nothing more.

Also, a weak understanding of Patriotism is very dangerous. For instance, a true Patriot would believe in every amendment regardless of how uncomfortable protesting and burning a flag may make them feel, a true patriot would understand that is protected.

True patriotism can be seen in the way one embraces the American flag.

The same goes for one's religious beliefs.

Both are proof of pure patriotism and an unshakable Christian faith.
