How bad does Mighty Mouse look now?

Remember how his biggest excuse for ducking TJ was that he won’t make 125.

He should have taken that fight while he was still UFC champ, would have been his only fight that actually generated some interest and made him some decent money.

Instead he got beat by another flyweight no one gives a shit about, and got dumped by the UFC and hardly gets mentioned anymore. One of the stupidest and most obvious ducks in mma history, there was absolutely no excuse not to accept a challenge from a champ willing to fight him in his own weight class.

Yep, said this when it happened.

Worst decision ever to keep ducking Dillashaw, his only big money fight and he runs from it. Hell, he could have made big money on the rematch too if there was one.

His reasoning was fine but it backfired when he lost. He didn't want to take the chance TJ would miss weight since it would have ended his streak. Then he lost his next fight...

He was the long reigning champ of division that is so terrible that they’re getting rid of it

I have said this enough times so I will put it in all caps for Shertards like yourself:

CHAMP IN THE LIGHTER WEIGHT CANNOT DUCK THE CHAMP IN THE HIGHER WEIGHT CLASS.

Dana White guaranteed TJ would make the 125 lb weight limit. DJ accepted the fight so long as DW paid DJ his show money and TJ's if TJ didn't make weight. Dana didn't want to actually put his money where his mouth is. Guarantees with nothing backing them are called Bullshit.
He wasn’t ducking the higher weight class you dummy, he was ducking his own weight class since TJ was willing to fight him at 125.

DJ had a chance to really be considered #1 p4p which could have helped market him and add to his bank account. This was a missed opportunity to take on a big name who had to make himself look like he lives in a holocaust concentration camp just to make weight.
Moving to ONE helped his bank account. He netted an 8 figure contract that surpasses the contract given to Eddie Alvarez. DJ is going to make more in his next several fights than he would have staying in the UFC and taking this fight.

He also has a chance to dominate at ONE and reel in sponsorship money.

DJ hasn't even earned 10M during his run in the UFC and already has a contract for more than that.

I would have rather seen MM v. TJ instead of Cejudo

but with the division likely ending, it doesn't really matter.... the UFC showed MM how they felt about him when they traded him for Askren.
Mighty Mouse will be treated well at ONE. I really think he wanted the move.

TJ making 125 using Calavitta’s algorithm is one of the bigger stories of this card. Unless of course he looks terrible and gasses or something weird but it appears he made weight the right way as of now.

DJ was fucked around by ufc time and time again and the mma community who didn’t give a shit about him before turned on him for some reason when he tried to take a little control of his career
also why you guys make shit up. he couldn't sell 100k PPV buys to save his life, of course he didn't have any say. remember him asking 1, 2 million to fight cruz? he was delusional

also can you enumerate these times that he was fucked by the ufc?

Not as bad as tj in those clown glasses
The glasses are the only thing saving you all from death. Your'e welcome.

Mighty Mouse rules and anyone who know anything about MMA knows it.

Haters are desperate to find any excuse to attack a man with an unassailable legacy as one of the greatest fighters to ever step foot in the cage.

It's pretty pathetic of them tbh.

How did the UFC "fuck him around"? He got to main event numerous PPVs and events. The people just didn't give a shit.

The only thing that looks bad is Cejudo acting like he'll be the saviour of the FLW division, like only he alone can save it.

Man just became 1st time champ yesterday, now doing a Superfight and acting like he's been champ for years.

Mighty Mouse?

GOAT

If you really believe that Dana wouldn't risk show money for a champ vs champ superfight then idk what to tell you.

There are two sides to every story and I don't think it's as cut and dry as DJ says. DJ then has no problem risking his champ payday and title defense vs a guy who missed weight before. Seeing how drained TJ looks, it was a terrible decision on DJs part. He can go to oneFC and have fun fighting guys on fuxking rocket fuel.

Very true, but he didn't know that he was gonna be with OneFC making that kind of money at the time he turned down the fight and was complaining about not getting pushed by the promotion and making the money he thought he should be.

I respect DJ as an athlete and as a businessman. He did his talking in the cage, and did not let himself get trolled by Dana into making unwise career decisions (like fighting heavier opponents for less money than he deserves).

If asses wore glasses TS you would still be blind. Making more money; easier, legally, with more sponsorships and fame is never bad.

Mighty Mouse always looked like a coward with every new excuse to duck TJ.

We already knew were excuses because he didn't want to lose the winning streak, until Cejudo defeated him.

MM could be p4p #1, 2 division champion, make a ton of money and save the division. He didn't.
