Homegym MEGA Thread

Have you guys had success selling equipment online? I'm thinking of replacing my rack for one of the fancy fucks with the built in FT, but then I'd have to sell my current rack. I've never sold anything online. Is FB marketplace the best way to go? Or are there fitness specific sites?

Wasn't planning on anything since I just dropped a shit load of money paying stuff off. But I copped a 114lbs steel club, the heaviest anyone makes. 50% off and free shipping. Saved over $450 on it.

I would think any local market is going to be better than a nation wide site. Shipping is gonna be a monster. Hell even finding someone who will show up to your house with a truck has been an adventure. 50% of people on FB are ignorant and just want to argue.

I think marketplace is probably your best bet. I almost always get immediate responses offering less than half of what I listed something at and I ignore those. I usually post $20-$40 higher than what I actually want for an item. If it doesn't go within a day or two I just get pissed and keep it.

I use Kijiji in Canada.
Buying and selling on there, I've probably saved 90% of the cost of my gym.

Picked up the Orion Squat Bar.
I’m very impressed for the price of $165 CAD.
There are a couple issues which I’ll point out below but the most important part of the bar is perfect - it balances no hands no problem.

The packaging was garbage and the low quality padding is completely squished. I might ask for replacement pads otherwise just wrap it up in carpet padding and gorilla tape. The handles are 14.5” centre to centre which seems pretty wide but works for me. Doubt my wife will be able to use it. The bar is a bit short, both the sleeves and where the bend sits on my rack but should be easy to work around. That’s about it. Welds aren’t pretty but they’ll hold. The knurling is phenomenal but I’m not even sure what it’s meant for?

Overall seems like a good pick up for the price. you knew there would be a small tradeoff for the price. Are the handles removable? Thought I have seen people camber benching with them but the handles are gone.

Freedom Strength started their BF sale last night 20% off. Grabbed 2 more bags. 125# and a 2nd 175# but going to fill this one to 185.

I pulled the trigger on the Freak Athlete Nordic/GHR/Back Extension/Hip Thrust/Dildo/Suitcase/Conventional Oven/Hyper. It won't ship till January, but now I don't have to think about it anymore.

You deserved it with all the consistent workout. This is the payback

Copped another 40kg kettlebell off GLG, for the price I couldn't pass it up. Double kettlebell work with 88lbs in each hand will be fun

New Affiliate for bags. Forum update only allows 1 link per sig so running the new one for a while.
Current sale is 20% off everything. After that, can use code JUNGLE for 10% off. It won't double stack, just Zeros out the discount code.

And WTF it's gone. I can't figure this site out. Everyone's signature is gone.

Again / Faster . Forgot I've order from them before , free shipping , and received equipment in 3 days. Ordered a rig BF sale and it was dropped off Sunday evening. Comes from Florida... mostly sure. Ordered a bunch of crap Friday.
Story of morals is, good company. Solid equipment at lower side prices and hella fast shipping.

I want to add lat pulldowns into my routine. I have the wall mounted cable tower, but I don't have anyway to anchor myself like the lap bar does on a lat pulldown. Is there a simple workaround that I am overlooking?

single arm pulldowns until you get thick ratchet strap and buckle yourself to bench
