Been in love with this game. Thankfully spending the first 18 years of my life as a virgin ensured that difficulty in video games isn't much of a problem (usually). Love the variety of content, the insane scope, the art style, the combat improvements, the whole shebang. One of the rare games where I already rated it a 10/10 at the halfway-ish point and that opinion was fully solidified by the end. Well worth the wait imo

Tool utilisation is the absolute key, a proper set up for each situation works wonders.

Gauntlet still aint happening. Next up is just googling the mask fragments

No review copies was slimy. May not have deterred anyone but having a heads up on the difficulty spike instead of expecting something chill like Hollow Knight woulda been nice
I wouldn't even call the original "chill". It was pretty tough and cryptic in some areas, but the difficulty ramped up in a more natural way than this game, and it wasn't filled with tedious bullshit at every turn. This game felt off from the get, when it forced you to grind it's stupid secondary currency for a stinking map and navigation tool. It just continued to get more cruel and annoying after that.

Once all the initial love wears off, it's gonna be a notoriously divisive game. The overall design just feels odd, and I'm kind of tired of people making excuses for it, like grinding out 500 beads, just to get a key that allows you access to an area that gives you a power up to make the retarded down attack not be so fucking irritating.

I feel like this is gonna be a reverse Dark Souls 2, where as time goes on, people are gonna start to notice it's indefensible bullshit that's currently being ignored, rather than it's good qualities that weren't appreciated.

All I can do at this point is Google where the skull fragments are, silk hearts and thread fragments.

Or just have a different opinion.

Just started playing this. I have a feeling like the last one I'll be having to cheat my way through this shit. Even with a bunch of cheats the last one could be difficult at times.

If youre referring to mods, theyve already begun modding the shit out of this to make it more like the first game

Yeah, on the first one I was using a mod to give you a bunch of different abilities to make shit easier. Was still kind of hard even when cheating LOL.

I've been through The Mist. Didn't really think anything of it other than it's boring and mildly annoying.

Didn't make me wanna pull my tongue out like Bilewater.

I retract what I said and agree with you that Bilewater area is dog shit.
I erred and still haven't found the map guy so i am always going in there blind.

Also agree that the Mist wasn't that horrible.
It was rather easy IMO. It's an area I am not even worried about if I need to travel through it.
Bilewater though... GRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!! :mad::mad::mad::mad:🤬😤👿:mad:
