I also find currency farming (rosaries) to be a chore. If I am organically collecting rosaries as I am exploring and getting enough to buy the things I need or I want, great but this game is making me grinde and farm for a lot of it early in the game which I find REALLY annoying. There are items in the very first merchant that I haven’t even finished buying yet.

I am not losing rosaries as I am exploring (yet) but I am finding a lot of shops and need tons of rosaries to buy shit. Some areas have enemies that don’t give you any rosaries which increases my annoyance.

I looked up an early rosary farm spot and it turned out to be the one I used a few days ago, first day I started playing the game. Extra fucking annoyed cause I just spent 2 hours just running this loop to get more rosaries…

When I am exploring and fighting the unknown, this game is fun as hell… grinding for rosaries… yuack..
They do get a bit more generous as the game goes on. Hanging onto them long enough to not have to safely grind them out, remains a bitch.

They should've just stuck with with the single currency of the first game. It's another example of one of the quirks of this game changing something from the original to be annoying for annoying's sake.

Im convinced Team Cherry is punishing us for wanting to play this game. They rushed it out without play testing. Some of the flying enemies have the most blatant input reading, its as though youre controlling them and Hornet simultaneously. And some of this platforming is just unrealistic.

Ironically, VGC published a review a couple days ago entitled something along lines of play this and suffer by design. Will pull it.

e/ Here: HOLLOW KNIGHT: SILKSONG REVIEW: A GAME THAT INTENDS TO MAKE YOU SUFFER, EVEN TO ITS OWN DETRIMENT

Here's the review if you want to check it out.

Hope you bugs are enjoying it despite the apparent imbalances and gameplay spikes.

Is it true there's a Bloodborne Easter egg in this? Something something silk-starved beast?

Savage Beastly but with lava and ranged adds went down suprisingly easily. Explored rest of Far Fields while at it and found a lava gauntlet, damn that was intense.

I have very similiar feelings that I had with Elden Ring. Great parts are truely great but there is some gigantic garbage packed in too.

There are a number of Bloodborne homages in this game, including a crest that let's you steal life by attacking enemies rather than giving you the basic heal from silk. The name? Beast crest <BC1>

Is there any warm clothing or something to help with freezing to death on Mount Fay? Not exactly fan of the place!

edit. it was the first part that took most of the time, after that it just repeated same. So I found out that when you use the harpoon you DO NOT press jump when you hit enemies or it just screws your jump.

Cogwork Core was unexpectedly easy. was a breeze compared to Mount Fae. Suppose the double jump helped a bit.

Wait until you get to The Mist

I had to check online what to do, hard it was not.

I've been through The Mist. Didn't really think anything of it other than it's boring and mildly annoying.

Didn't make me wanna pull my tongue out like Bilewater.
It looks difficult in the speed run but they are doing it with no float ability.

I was about to complain about Bilewater as well but after exploring a bit more I realized it wasn't that bad. Especially once you find the save point and mapmaker. Those big rats were rather annoying as fuck till i realized power shots made quick work of them (well 2 strikes).

I actually found the hidden bench just before which helps but I'm gonna work on the next damage upgrade before I continue in that area.
