News Herzog changes tune, says stoppage was premature

The sad irony of defending a blatant cheater --

by arguing that the Ref didn't follow the Rules...
Absolutely not surprised that some on here are perfectly fine with cheating when it suits them (and their bets) and other times act as if it's a heinous crime that should be punishable by death. Selective outrage and hypocrisy are at all-time highs these days.

Herzog was fine with it. He stopped the fight because he thought Tallison was out of it.

I never saw anything wrong with what Herzog did, and I would bet that the majority of those of you who have complained about the stoppage, wouldn't have complained, if you had never seen the dozens of slow mo replays from all the different angles. Herzog had to make a split second decision without all the replays, and endless discussion and debate like those who have complained have had access to.

That's actually my point. His opinion days later means nothing since there's been plenty of time for certain people to "convince" him he was "wrong". If he is now mysteriously absent from the next few cards while goofs like Herb and Keith Peterson keep getting gigs then the shadiness is real.

I don't think a fight has ever been called off because of a fence grab before. So when people argue for days that was the reason Herzog is saying here it wasn't.

Glad to see Herzog upholding honor and humility. I expect no less from the seasoned #PowerSlap referee.

With #PowerSlap14 just around the corner, I can see why he might have gotten his wires crossed — instinctively valuing safety over clarity.

I know it’s an unpopular opinion to all you saints and geniuses on Sherdog….

But I can appreciate when a ref admits they were in the wrong and takes accountability for their call.
Props to Herzog here.

Wait, but a bunch of sherdog rules experts told me the stoppage was justified.

Foolishness aside, I think Herzog saw Tallison grabbing the cage to get up in the midst of a wild onslaught, and he just panicked. Obviously a terrible blunder, but mistakes happen. He's still a good ref.

it may sound cold, but I’d rather be a little late in stopping than A little early? You should know they’re out before stopping it

Lol blah blah.. like hes gonna get better at it. Dudes been trash lately and people for some reason dont call him out for it but bury Herb
