If you have been warned once and still foul it should be an automatic point deduction

it is actually so simple: eye poke? 1 point deduction. done. 2 eyepokes in the same round? DQ loss.

I have never seen or heard about someone being eyepoked in training sessions. They know what they doing and it is rarely an accident. Start punishing them and they will stop ofc

He also allowed McGregor to commit 20 or so fouls against Nurmagomedov without deducting a single point.

Just take a point every time it happens. Everyone who’s seriously trained knows it barely if ever happens in training. No excuses for blatant fouls happening multiple times per fight because people think they can get a free pass.

A free pass is exactly what it is.

With no consequence to back up a rule, there is no rule.

There is no foul problem in other sports like there is in the UFC. That is because they have made rules in other sports that take the guesswork out of it (and mostly utilize video review to solidify the call making process).

I've been saying for a while, Herb is passed his prime, absolutely fallen off. He's coasting on a good call with the Mir/Sylvia arm break and has authored some of the worst late stoppages I've seen

Something that could be done immediately, easily, is a 10% forfeit of purse from the poker to the pokey for each poke. Jon jones would have to pay to fight lol

Automatic point deductions seem to make the most sense. Purse deductions are fine and all, but they don't really tip the scales back in the pokee's favor. They need to allow instant replay during the match, as well. I'd also entertain penalties for flopping. Man that'd be so embarrassing to get caught flopping and have the ref rule against you during a live broadcast.
