Henry Cejudo Complains About Fighter Pay.

Cejudo was on the huge covid card. He won a huge fight where he gained some name recognition and immediately retired. an hr later he started talking money fights. He only has himself to blame for how poorly he handled his career on the financial side of things.

Henry cejudo is right, he left on a high note when his value was at his highest but the ufc can low ball anyone they want by finding any excuse they can to fit their narrative , in this case...cejudo hasn't fought in a while and lost value or some bs like that. They probably do pay the majority of their fighters nothing and only pay a select few well. At the same time Ngannou is comparing his pay to boxing and that's an entirely different sport. It's like a lacrosse player fighting to be paid like a hockey player or a WNBA player wanting to be paid like an NBA player. Also who really ever cared about Cehudo? Dude headlined one card ever and most people considered that card over once Val got her hand raised.

Dana White has had far too much leverage. This isn't like working in a convenience store where you can just go somewhere else, with plenty of options to choose from- and even there be guaranteed a certain amount of pay and perks and benefits and HUMAN RIGHTS.


Folks like you who keep saying "oh nobody forced you to sign"... well, the fact that people need MONEY to pay for expenses and to be able to have basic necessities, makes it necessary for them to be forced to be sign an unfair deal.

Your argument of "nobody forced you to sign" has been said over, and over again by similar people who forget to factor human rights and fairness into situations.

This is why some WMMA fighters end up on Onlyfans... They literally don't have much of a choice.

Triple C "retired" at the wrong time. He was just starting to build momentum and immediately "retired" effectively eliminating all his momentum. Now he has no leverage. He needed to build a fan base and ask for a big raise when his contract was up for renewal. I love triple C as a fighter and even as a character but I don't think he played his cards right.

Many fighters are anti union because they are brainwashed into thinking that it is socialist or communist. Two (or at least one) fighter association is against having a fighter union, they just want higher pay and widening the Ali act to cover MMA.

this reminds me of when Ngannou was confused on why Jake Paul was getting paid more than he was. because nobody gives a fuck about you compared to Jake Paul buddy, it's not rocket science.

It'd be nice to see some of these so called "journalists" start taking Dana and the UFC to task. You have guys like Jake Paul complaining about it from the outside, and you have actual champions and P4P greats complaining about it from the inside. This should be the biggest fucking topic in MMA but all these morons can ask is "durrhhh hey Dana this was a pretty exciting night of fights right?" or "hey Dana when are you bring the UFC to (insert country here)?" Exactly. Every other mainstream sports league seems to have one. They really need a Fighter's Association. All it would take is the biggest names in the sport coming together and saying "we don't fight until we get a union". Then it's a huge story, mainstream media is interviewing these guys and shining a light on shitty treatment. Even the best paid guys like Conor should be making way more than they do.

The thing about Walmart is, there are a bunch of other competitors within the same field who pays a lot more. Not the case with the UFC and fighting. UFC claims to be the top of the sport and not a whole lot of options outside of the UFC. It would be like being in the NFL and complaining about pay, but then go to Uzbekistan to play football and expect to be paid more. That ain't happening, because the NFL (and UFC) are the top promotion of the sport.

Not to mention the fact that the UFC has bought up a lot of its competitors in the past which further shows the UFCs monopolistic grip on the sport. Would be different if the UFC didn't claim to be the biggest sport in the world. Yet they still pay their fighters peanuts. Then the contracts fuck over the fighters where they can't just up and leave over the pay dispute. Look at GSP and how he is still getting fucked over by the UFC and can't leave his contract yet. And many consider GSP the goat, so imagine how much worse some of the other shit fighters get screwed by the U. F.ight C.heap.

All the UFC has to do to fix this is make the revenue split closer to 50:50 instead of letting the fighters get 15% (which I'm sure the lower guys/gals don't get close to 15% of the cut). But you shills keep defending Dana and his shitty tactics to continually screw the fighters over.
