Reporter: "If they make Stephen against Robbie, how do you think Stephen would fare in a fight like that?"

Hendricks: "That's a good question. I have fought both of them and Robbie is sort of the way I like to fight. You're gonna bite down on the mouth piece, you're gonna throw and you're gonna throw some more and you're gonna throw some more."

OK there Hendricks. :D

Throw some more what John ?
More money into your steakhouse.....

I don't like how Johny seems to make it seem like it was a fault of HIS OWN that he lost, and not because the guy he fought just beat the snot out of him. Sure, he says Thompson was the "better man" that night, but then he always manages to find a way to make an excuse that sounds like it was because he himself made an error and that's why he lost.

He is just saying Robbie fights in the pocket pretty much right in front of you. Wonder boy fights and range using angles. I dont see that as a dog at all.

He's probably going to get TKO'ed like you. Please Hendricks go to WSOF so Palhares can retire you.

So he likes that Robbie takes tons of damage while dishing it out, and doesn't like that Wonderboy stays at range and snipes him to death? Makes sense.

I would also prefer that my opponents let me hit them. lol

He blamed it on bad sparring partners who stood and traded when he got close instead of running like Wonderboy.

I know Hendricks isn't that bright but lol if you think Wonderboy was stand in the pocket with you and risk getting taken down...

An impressive lack of self awareness on show.

Does Hendricks not have a computer or television? Did he REALLY expect the flashy kickboxing karate guy to hang out and trade in the pocket? lol. Has he not seen how ST or Machida fights?

lmao

Chris Kyle would have approved.

Well he didn't say that Robbie let him hit him. Robbie stands there, but he still avoids getting hit hard because of his in-pocket boxing skills, hand-trapping, head movement, all of it. Hendricks prefers that style, even if he's not winning the exchanges. Johnny has said a lot of things worth criticizing, but this isn't one of them.

He ain't got no time to watch tape.

He's got too many competitive eating events to go to.

Considering that Robbie has taken 2.3 million significant strikes over the last few years and that fans are worried about his long term health............ I kinda disagree.

Also, I like how they highlighted rigorous weight training with Hendricks on all the pre-fight clips, showing him flipping tires and carrying kegs. How about working on pushing the sled, or working on your punching-in-to-the-shot? He, and especially his coaches, HAD to know that Thompson would use range, which means shooting in from a distance is going to be a must. Carrying him like a keg isn't really going to benefit the speed necessary to penetrate that distance, especially in a potential twenty-five minute fight.

Lol .. it's as if he thinks that he should only be expected to perform well against fighters whose style suitt his own. Another reason to not want to see him as Champ again.

Johnny is a good fighter, but he does not have a Championship mentality.
