Helwani gain credibility during prefight presser?

Don't quote me or reply to my posts. I don't like to interact with imbeciles, it's a waste of time.
Says more about you than about me, have nice day

Source?
Every single thing that was ever said about this including Ariels version

UFC produces their events.
Including the pre & post shows.
Fox pays UFC to air these events (like every other produced TV show) & then the producer pays the cast/on-air personalities

UFC Tonight was a Fox produced show & Fox hired him directly & paid him, but the weigh-ins & prepost were UFC events

This is not news & Ariel even explained it during the 2hr martyr fest
no source?

well by definition he broke the news and is a journalist.

He has empathy for a friend. He's build connections and is respected. It is part of the reason why the fighters like him and give him the inside scoop.

Some of you on here are carrying on like he stole your job. Quite humourous tbh.

I'm a bid Ariel fan, always have been, however he admitted to being paid by UFC, he admitted knowing damn well it was a conflict, or could appear to be. He also admitted to breaking the very first rule he was taught in school.

What's the matter, you can't handle the truth about Mr. Pulitzer? That you can buy his loyalty with a cheque and the promise of TV airtime?

Me too
I thought it was petty of him to break the news while sitting backstage at a UFC event, but that does not mean I don't think he was/is good at his job.
He deserves the heat for what he did wrong, like the people he covers do.
I am glad he was allowed back, but these Sherdoggers that think he is some bastion of journalism ethics are a bit much.

I will say this, when I first started hearing about Ariel and actually listening to his interviews, I knew right away he was a shill, ass kisser, and instigator. After awhile, he started to tone that down and because of his UFC affiliations, he got a lot of great guests on the show. In a way he started to bring me around, but after the Brock fiasco, and then admitting and confirming to what I already suspected, then the 2 hours of the MMACrying Hour. I lost any good will or respect I had built up the last 7-8 months or so.

I knew what game he was trying to play with the UFC, traditional media, and mma fans and quite honestly it disgusted me.

I completely agree, he obviously knows better, but did things most journalist would agree are a no-no. I feel to mention again that I like Ariel and am not even bashing him. He at least thinks about it, which some don't, but he is not a "hard-nosed" journalist

The guy who thought it was oh so important he tell us all Brock was fighting at 200 because hes a "journalist"

then spent 30 minutes kissing Mirs ass and referring to his positive test as "your usada problem" and saying how its unfair and he hopes UFC do the decent thing and release him so he can fight elsewhere to raise his kids...

Journalist when it suits him, brown tongued arse kisser when it doesnt

So he's a journalist?

That's how Brock is, it's no act. He doesn't like people for the most part. Listen to Stone Cold's interview of him, and he says it upfront he doesn't like people or playing the media game.

Thanks for the recommend man, I'm 45 min in and Hearing Brock talking about how he got to where he is , is pretty interesting. Good listen for anyone

It's a great effen interview, super interesting how he came up. Hopefully you're listening to the full unedited version.

The best one IMO is the Ric Flair interview, man that was super fun to listen to.

Not to interject, but the story Frankie is giving is wildly known from Ariel

Thank you
Plus it is widely known as how TV operates.

TV pays X-amount of dollars for X-amount of programming to a producer.
In this case the producer is ZUFFA LLC.
Zuffa pays Rogan, Goldie, the fighters, Buffer, etc.
When they signed with Fox/FS1, they expanded the production to televised weigh-in & pre/post shows.
Ariel was one of the people they hired ... & PAID!
Shocked that anybody doesn't get that in 2016

Yup, over an hr says full interview. Gotta say I'm pleasantly surprised and recommend it myself.

That is a great point
If Arial broke something like a fighter was suspended & UFC was hiding it (or something) then breaking it while in their house is valid.
But he could have said "Wait until you hear the added bout to UFC 200 tonight" & everyone would be happy & he would still look like Mr. Scoops

Not joking, but I was never a Broc fan nor was I a hater, more indifferent to him. This interview really put him on a human level, he really is a self made man, through sheer hard work and will. I have a lot of respect for Brock Lesnar, he wouldn't give a shit if I did or not, but that's the kind of dude he is.

I was pleasantly surprised that Stone Cold was able to draw out so much of his backstory. His interviewing skills have gotten really good now.

Brock is a good guy
Just his honesty can go from refreshing to callous depending on the sensibility of the person hearing it.
In MMA, I find it shocking to read "Brock was rude" ... lol
