International Hegseth warns that China is going invade Taiwan soon…..

No i do t think they will. I might not like the CCP in fact I can't stand the CCP.. HOWEVER they think things through an play long game maybe better than anyone now. They will wait till either Vance/Rubio/Shapiro/Newsome/ whoever the Dem nom is. To take over then do it .

Why do it now ? Yeah Trump could flinch and get exposed but hes ego driven more than anything and there's a better chsnce Trump goes all out to defend an you got a war that hurts everyone- where as they wait and whoever else takes over sa re rattles and shakes fist and does nothing else.
thing is trump has proven he’s effective and unpredictable when it comes to squelching shit (soleimani). Chinese know better than to deal wit th Trump because he will do what he has to do

What would? China could always destroy the fabs at this point and rely on its own , which are decent. Cutting edge nodes are very powerful but quite limited in their applications. They're evolutionary improvements compared to n-1 to n-2, not revolutionary.
Having an American company as important as Nividia in Taiwan obvi

Most of you underate Trump greatly but he’s making incredible moves to thwart China. Reestsblishing close ties w the Middle East and farming huge money into our technology and placing American assets in Ukraine(rare earth) and Taiwan.

You all need to give him credit bc I guarantee Kamala and her ilk wouldn’t have ever done any of this.

lmao

Yeah, destroying our alliances around the world and running the country into the ground while taking bribes. Destroying trust internationally with allies. Incredible moves.

This guy

Can you explain in your own words what exactly Trump gave Nvidia the go ahead to build in Taiwan? You seem to have poor knowledge of the semi industry and not understand basic terms since you think Nvidia is building a production plant in TPE (LOL).

I think the message is perfectly clear to china

I think the message is perfectly clear to china

I see you can only repost stuff you don't understand and not actually put it in your own words.

Huang, like most Taiwense tech CEOs hates Trump. It's purely transactional. In this case, Huang supports Trump loosening export restrictions to China but opposes the tariffs and trade wars. He also much preferred the Chips act over tariffs to encourage fabs in the US.

Again, what did Trump give Nvidia the go ahead to build in Taiwan? A campus that will employ Taiwense talent because it's cheaper and more readily available than US talent. It was a favor to Taiwan, not the US.

I understand it perfectly fine. I don’t pretend to be in the semiconductor industry. Trump urged and supported Jensen decision to represent in Taiwan which is thereby an American asset in that country. What’s there to not understand ?
I’m only commenting on geopolitics here and the message sent to Beijing is perfectly clear

Enough with your pretentious nonsense

You clearly lack a good grasp of either.

Here's your original post.
Nividia with Trumps urge and blessing just opened a new semiconductor plant in Taiwan.

What’s theirs is ours now. I doubt china invades but if it does we are now obligated

semi chips is the new oil
What new semiconductor plant is Nvidia opening in Taiwan?

Huang seems like a traitor to Taiwan to me, selling his AI chips to China.

It’s his 2nd largest market would u shut that off?
If my second largest market was a serious threat to my continued existence? To my entire countries continued existence? And the thing I was selling could be leveraged to end us?

Is what a message? Be specific.

You clearly don't understand the difference between fabless and fab semi companies.

Just a good ol capitalism taken to the extremes. He's changed quite a bit in the past few decades, aside from always having the same ruthless streak.

Now I will say there is an argument I can acknowledge as to whether not export restrictions will weaken China in the long run or not, since it encourages domestic production.
