Huang, like most Taiwense tech CEOs hates Trump. It's purely transactional. In this case, Huang supports Trump loosening export restrictions to China but opposes the tariffs and trade wars. He also much preferred the Chips act over tariffs to encourage fabs in the US.
Again, what did Trump give Nvidia the go ahead to build in Taiwan? A campus that will employ Taiwense talent because it's cheaper and more readily available than US talent. It was a favor to Taiwan, not the US.
