If a guy likely on PCP is sprinting at you with knives in his hands screaming, you know perfectly well you wouldn't gamble on a taser stopping him if it was your life, or that you'd hit the thigh of someone sprinting at you with baggy pants while you're moving too.

I wish there was a way to prove it. I'm positive I could do it. Anyone in Michigan have a cop friend that can help me see if I'm full of shit or not ?

Yea that is one of my big hurdles. We sit here and fault these officers, but we dont give the departments proper funding and structure for more officers with better training.

Every situation is different and I wish the rules for the police took that into account. Also think the stick should be brought back as an option. Sometimes you need to fuck someone up real bad but not quite kill them and that tool seems to be missing.

Yeah no. You shoot center mass. A person shot in the leg often doesn't even feel it if he is hopped up on adrenaline. Knee yes, leg, not usually. A shot to a vital organ usually causes system shock and limp perp. Which is kind of the idea if it comes to shooting.

If its the sort of person who thinks its ok to rush a cop with a knife then i don't give a fuck about his odds anymore if the cop needs to use deadly force to stop him.

I think many of the leg and arm shooters have never fired a gun. I’m an expert shooter at a target at 10 yards and I could hit a stationary target in the leg 100% of the time.

Now get your heart to 150 beats a minutes and add in some labored breathing from the adrenaline dump. I’d be lucky to hit the ground with my hat at ZERO yards but I’m going to ask a police officer to take that risk when there is NO WAY I would take that risk?
