I am always surprised at how unprepared the average GTA driver is for winter.

Im not.
They get mild winters compared to sudbury or T bay and often think their shit dont stink. Too many even in the summer cant drive for shit on the 400 series and zig zag through traffic. They then attempt this in winter and die and kill others. It hasnt and wont change unfortunately

Definitely watching the lunatics pass people on right side merge lanes and shoulders or tailing emergency vehicles aggressively is so frustrating. No sympathy for those folks when they smash their vehicles...

They know they get snow every season though. No excuse to not clean your windshield and roof, drive slower (especially without winter tires), etc...

I agree, but i see cops who dont clear off their vehicles. I assume everyone sucks at life and i find it helps avoid half their nonsense, especially on the road. A few years back my wife got T boned by a dude who ran a stop sign and his excuse was my wife wasnt driving fast enough to avoid him. The speed limit was 50km and she always drives 55. Ppl suck.

Now, this shit isn't new. I grew up all over LA in the early 90s and this shit happened all the time. People got jumped for their shoes, bikes, everything else. What sets this apart from others is that they jumped a GIRL and beat her up viciously. Looks to be about 15 of them.

This never happened back then. At least I never saw it or heard of it. Girls got jumped by other girls mostly for hoodrat shit. Girls got jumped and robbed by other GIRLS and 100% of the time there were other reasons especially boyfriend related, the robbery part was just icing on the cake. If you did this as a dude back then, your rep was fucked and you were a target, especially when you eventually make it to juvie or youth authority.
