my freinds underage daughter was targeted by an older man online who pretended to be younger, developed a relationship with her and ended up having sex with her before my friend found out.

he waited till the end of the trial to tell me what his plans were if the man had not been convicted.

there are some old mine shafts that go down a very long way where we live and he had spent the whole trial planning how to get that man to them and dump him in without being caught. he was dead serious and was going to do it for real. no joke.

he was in the right to do so and there is no possible way i would ever find him guilty were i on the jury. i would be unable to find any person guilty of a similar crime.

Not everyone has pigs, but the proper way to dispose of sex traffickers is to hang them on an overpass with their nuts stuffed into their mouth. Or so I've heard.

My smartass comments aside, no way would I convict this guy if his story turns out legit.

You CAN'T take the law into your own hands though. I'd want to be there to continue to protect my child than be in prison. Man, what a messed up situation.

This here is my hang up. Like, the law's the law, but if it was a proven thing that the boyfriend was involved, I can't muster up much sympathy for him and would have a hard time being impartial on a jury. But if it's just a "he may have been involved", then I'd need to hear what evidence he had for it. We don't know the facts there, so I'd want to know what made the father sure enough the boyfriend was involved that he'd be willing to kill.

But on its face, assuming the boyfriend was involved, I wouldn't want to convict the father over it. Let the legal system do its work, vigilante justice is bad, etc, yes, but. I'd have a hard time not making an exception here given the circumstances.

If all things are true that is a god father regardless of penalty. Any father should feel ok about getting the life in jail for avenging his daughter

pfft life. daughter sold in to sex trafficking. even the prosecuting attorney knows that is a hard case to win. even with solid evidence. people sympathize with that shit. 4 out of 10 people feel the same. that you will do anything to protect your children. there are 12 jurors. odds are 4-5 of them feel that way. long drawn out case. very high chance of repeating a hung jury. prosecuting attorney will offer a plea bargin down to voluntary manslaughter. he do max 6-8 years. probably get out around 5 with good behavior.

This is the problem with vigilantism. Was the boyfriend definitely involved in this? What's the evidence? If it was obvious I can't blame the guy. But there are plenty of examples of people in distress placing blame on those that didn't necessarily commit the crime. Need more info.

I'm certainly suspicious of unsubstantiated claims of heroism from someone, where the only confirmed information is that they killed their daughter's boyfriend.
