yepIn the last 10 years (and 16 fights) Jiri has only lost to Poatan. I think he is the second best light heavyweight currently.
Fans: he should retire.

noooooooooooooooooooooHe definitely could benefit from getting a team to convince him to restrain his style
nooooooooooooooooooooo
never
Thats the way he fights. He cant fight like a normal person. He's not a normal person.
He got to be champion and got like 17 finishes in a row like this.
wether people like it or not thats how he fights.
After he knocks out Hill with a flying double roundhouse kick they will change their minds.yep

nah itll just beAfter he knocks out Hill with a flying double roundhouse kick they will change their minds.
so whatCool, then his downfall comes sooner. He's getting older and has been flattened twice In the last 3; the last one brutally.
so what
live by the sword die by the sword
War Jiri, total support.
I care about him winning but he should try to do it his way. You can't just try to all of a sudden be a normal boring assed fighter after 36 fights.Weird to be such a fan of a guy you don't care gets murdered. Oh well.

He gotta stick to his own way, and do what he can with it.
He can make adjustments. But there's only so much you can change this far in.Theres a difference between being boring and jiri trying to be more measured. Or at least not blocking every punch with his face
But anyone and everyone does hit Jiri hard. 39% significant striking defense is absurdly bad, and it doesn't get much better by excluding the Poatan fights. Jiri's absorbed a ridiculous amount of damage in his four UFC wins.He can make adjustments. But there's only so much you can change this far in.
In the second Poatan fight he figured out how to stop him rushing and jiri could not adjust to not being able to rush and wound up staying still too long thinking in the danger zone of someone hitting as hard and as fast as Poatan.
Not something anyone else can easily replicate.
Yes but to set up the blows he landed he learned how to cut off Jiri's rush which he couldn't do in the first fight. Poatan's big adjustments were keeping his hands up, being patient, and focusing on placement over power. Jiri was brutally KOed by a naked front-leg roundhouse with less setup than your bottom-of-the-barrel pornhub video, and that's mostly about Jiri's defense or complete lack thereof - if your hands are up and you're getting any kind of a read at all not even Poatan is doing that to you - and Poatan employing fight IQ in response, not Poatan's considerable striking skills.
Fergerson really though was mostly a grappler who pressured people during his peak. He's rated appropriately. He's the LHW Tony Ferguson. Very dangerous because of how awkward he is but also can get KOed at any second because of how open he is when he throws his unconventional strikes
